mars
V/A - Lunar Civilization Artist: Various Title: Lunar Civilization Label: Moon Spirits Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 09'30" Wizzy Noise : Shores Of Freedom 02. 08'14" Jaïa Feat Gill : Drum Explorer (DJ Maël Rmx) 03. 06'43" Total Eclipse : Once Upon A Time 04. 08'34" Elixir : Drops Of Madness (Talamasca Rmx) 05. 08'14" Bamboo Forest : Discover 06. 09'52" Absolum : Biologic (Live Mix - Amsterdam 99) 07. 07'43" Blue Planet Corporation : Blue Pill 08. 08'18" Lagoon : BLM 09. 06'26" Toires : Sissal Review: This is the latest 3D-V....hum no..this is the first Moon Spirits compilation. Globally, the compil is excellent. Even the banner-design reminds me of good parties... First Wizzy Noise provides us with a cool twisted tune, dark and dancefloor oriented. Ok for your brain. Then we have the surprise to see that Drum Explorer has a second breath with this remix from DJ.Mael. It consists in the main pattern as the original, a very good And fast rythmic, lots of strange sounds And voices. Ok we can feel the immutable 3D Vision style, but it's good, so... For the third track...well it's hard to understand what went through Serge S to create this one... An excellent track with a powerful bass and incredible twisted sounds. Imagine a calm melody that becomes mad sometimes! 4th track: do you like the 3DV touch? Well we have a dual-effect here because Lestat remixed an Elixir track. mmmh it's an usual Talamasca track if you think about it...5:30 of rythm and "zoing-tchik-poum-glang" sounds, then a break and a repetitive melody during 3 minutes - no offense - ok it's a good track, again. the fifth track is a dark one by Bamboo forest. It consists in a very fast And fat kick and some sounds of any kind everywhere, and a slight melody behind this. A pure nightrack, simple but efficient. (after Drumatrix), Christof continued to sample the Matrix movie for Dutch people, and us: The Biologic remix looks like the original with more sounds and samples - not a revolution. the odds are that the Matrix is a neverending source of samples for the psytrance scene...so BPC gives us a quite calm song with a cool And clear melody. It's a morning track, and a good track again. Christof under the name Lagoon gives us a strange track, quite slow, with good ideas, but boring sometimes. Imagine an Absolum track downpitched, on which you removed many sounds. Toires, eventually, gives you a taste of what's in his new album. It's a complete And deeply trippy 'ambient' track, put there for you to land... Recommendations - 3DV: reboot sometimes. - TErec: encore! - reader: buy this compil which is worth 8/10. Guest Hagai
I went to the store some days ago because I wanted to order the absolute classic disc Total Eclipse-Violent Relaxation, and I bumped into this disc (Lunar Civilization) and I remembered that I saw the name of this CD here in this website,I said what the hell and gave it a shot,it sounded very promising in the headphones,so I looked for some reviews on the internet about this one, they were very good,so I managed to get money to buy this one,I just bought it today, and what can I say? I fell inlove in the whole disc! the tunes are so wonderful, well built and quality ones, and are so fun to listen to! my preticular favorites are tracks no. 1,3 and 5,absolutly crazy stuff! although I love all the tracks on this CD. The cover is totally beautiful and the design is top. And finally,as I may use the sentence in Blue Pill:"Take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you wanted, take the red pill, you stay in wonderland, and i show you how deep the rabbit hole goes..." This CD is definitly the red pill...
max
Wow... Killer Cd. The Total Eclipse And Wizzy Noise are the best. I'm happy to see that Wizzy are back to their previous style. They jumped few time in the Typical Israeli Trance but now they are back with their own style...and especially with their beautifull "deepest of the deep" bass. And the cover...what a cover...what a beautifull pachaging...definitly worth to buy it (if you find it). First try is a master try for those guys from Moon Spirits (Poitiers/Paris - France). Guest jsbedard
One major problem here like the "3d vision PsychoTropic" compil: Some track don't have enough bass and others are okay. So if you like to change your volume and bass adjustment for each track of the CD while you are listening, just buy this compilation. For the rest all track are good except Total Eclipse that is too minimal and don't need to be there on this compilation. 8/
Guest Eyal Yankovich
A great cd! opening Wizzy Noise, a very core track`s a great opening for that amazing cd. than, nice DJ Maël remix for Drum Explorer, just doesn`t feets the mood. next, track three, Total Eclipse! totally mad And twisted!! bds and hihats are flying anywhere!! i must sit on their bass!!!!!!! you have also bamboo forest, actually the best track on this cd, and blue planet corp. Rec: T1, 3, 5, 7 I prefer D.A.C. thu

Guest master_illusion[at]hotmail[dot]c
Great cd, get it. Beyond all this minimal psychedelic, this cd has great melodies but never cheese though..... about the matrix samples.... you should add paranoic sensation and amphasis... and the list continues (hopefully not!!!!!) Guest Ubik
Very good comp ! One of the most melodious european comp amongst the recent ones, but still quite powerful. Wizzy noise made a cool song, that I find sometimes really great, and sometimes just good. As expected, Jaia, Total Eclipse and Elixir songs are very good. Bamboo forest is a nice surprise, one of the best track here. Biologic is a little disappointing. BPC has one again made a peaceful song, with nice melodies. Last track is ambient/tribal, pretty cool. Overall 8.5/

Guest Goa Spirit
made for parties.... that wizzy noise track is a killer... has the same wierd kind of animal moaning as a previous x-dream track//// all tracks here are tried and tested party killers.... but the wizzy noise track has been haunting me ever since new years.. what power.. Guest Acidhive
Exactly, this comp starts off bigtime with that Wizzy Noise track. Pounding full on psytrance here, all the way! That goes for most tracks here, except the last 3 tracks, which are a bit more tranquil sounding, especially the Toires track. This cd does have 2 songs with samples from The Matrix again, it seems that movie is a source of inspiration for these full-on psytrance producers. Anyway, if you're looking for 3d Vision like psychedelica, you've come to the right place. I can severely recommend this album, I give it 8,5/10!! The new Moon Spirits comp is in the stores now! As far as I've listened to it, it's great, so get your hands on that too while you're at it!!
Guest Agent Smith
killer album, but its REALLY about time to STOP using Matrixamples!! We have all seen the movie over & over, and know all the quotes - hence no surprises. i like surprises. don't u? anyway, the comp is one of my favs, but once i'm on the whizzy-bamboo-forest-noise-vibe, the last couple of trax get kinda boring. imho of course. bom hatzz!
