Cosmo Chaos And Lemurians : The Link (Cosmo Chaos Rmx) 02. Exaile : The Low 03. Respector : Makes You Wanna Dance 04. Skazi : Porogram 05. Sesto Sento : The Year 83 06. Neuromotor : Erotic Fantasy 07. Lemurians And Guitarminator : Metal Drops 08. Analog Mohicans : Odin 09. Cosmo Chaos : Tearing Stellar 10. Psyside : Black Moon Review: A rather good compilation from SST! Like the name suggest it is filled with dark tracks! The First track is very techno-ish X-dream like, not my style at all... Second track is more pounding and with a good final, typical Exaile style! Number 3 is also a little too minimal for my taste! Skazi gives us what he normally does... Even without looking to the tracklist you know who it is! Neuromotor gives us the first killer! Full on madness Number 7 is also a killer, a 3 minutes intro that sounds exactly like a rock-song, and after that the bassline comes in and we have a mad guitar-track 8 and 9 are dark tracks with weird effects, but not enough happening for me! The last song is another KILLER! Pure full on with stomping bassline! Reminds somehow on Virtual Reality! the cd 7/10, but it has some real killers! Guest Smarthowie
Agree with Anoebis here - For me there are 2 excellent killers, Neuromotor & Psyside, and nr 7 is also very great after the intro! I expected more KILLER-songs on this one, so I was a little dissappointed actually... Anyway, I give it 6/10, but 9/10 for track 6 & 10 !! pEAce
Guest Soulmission
Here,Here, neuromotor twists me membrane and Psyside swings me randomly round the universe with cheeky kick-drum groovin'.Sesto-sento track mature in fact cosmo tracks made to be mixed and will then become real killers.7/
Guest Le Lotus Bleu
As let guess the title of this compilation, this one is a dark full on style dedicated for night peaktime dancefloors. I like very much the 2 Cosmo Chaos tracks which are quite bouncing, punchy with some melodies, i got a little preference for the one done with Lemurians. The Exaile?s stuff has a nice worked dark atmosphere a bit less kickin?, so results more subtle to my ears. Next one from Respector doesn?t sound at all dark psytrance for me. I mean you?ve got here typical fat kick & rumbled bass from Hardcore-tribe, don?t like this one. Then comes a good groovy bassline that?s what i retain of this track coz. the distorted electric guitar riffs on the second part of the track don?t bring the usual adrenalistic Skazi?s touch. I was knowing Soap Bubbles from Sesto Sento and so was expecting something great from them. The problem here, is that The Year 83 is average , honest but nothing special. I think that dark full on doesn?t fit to their predilection style. ?Are you a cat? what a strange gimmick sample which appears followed by some cat?s vicious mewing in Erotic Fantasy. I wonder if Alf isn?t in reality Neuromotor ? Nevermind, the track is very good, energic, melodic and got some a nice percusive break on the second part of the track. After it?s metal dark psytrance time with Lemurians vs Guitarminator for Metal Drops. Indeed, the appreciation of this track depends on if you?re keen or not onto rock Metal riffs. For me the rock-metal side isn?t too extrem and can be easily listenable even if i normally never listen to metal. Analog Mohicans (Jörg + Andy/Lemurians) « Odin » ( north german god of war and knowledge) got a gimmick of a kinda foghorn plus vickings shouting samples, results for consequence a pretty nice atmosphere. French band Psyside finish at speed, on a jerky riffs production, not vey subtle but effective without any doubt on all dancefloors. highlights :1,6,9 other good moments :2,4,8.10 Mark :8/
