It begins with break chillin, relaxing & a little funky intro from well known Thievery Corporation, Cosmosis like always can't disapoint us, slow downtempo track with relaxing & full of effect guitar theme, it's masterpiece. The next to tracks are rather typical relaxing monotonic melodies, interesting rythms, it's not bad. Track from Astro is a chill out symphony of piano & guitar. Next up is short "flamenco" tune by Arnica Montana, nice & funky. After it groovy with full on very breakin original bassline track by Lumo. Next track is also typical, nothing special is in this one, just good piece of relaxing music. Last track is a fast & light, trancy 12 Moons production, this one is put here probably to wake up after chillin voyage. Second CD starts with as always, totally weird Ju ju Space Jazz, there's some vocals, guitars, jazzy soundz, & etnical influences, everything mixed. The track from Van Bellen is a little boring, nothing is happening there, 3rd one is much better, slow & sad, but with some diverse melodic accents. Soft Wave is a electro pre taste of next excellent Healer's production, long, electro, full of relaxing sounds great production, it reminds me the earliest Electric Universe productions. Another Arnica Montana's track, also with lot of latin guitar, but this time is slower & more quiet then from 1st CD. After it another change of style to dubby ambient. Track from Quaid is cold drum n'bass with accents of dreaming guitar melody. Last track is rather fast, break chill out, lot of etnical vocals & guitar, good thing to end the compilation. This compilation is very good crossover of different chillout styles, but I think previous part were a little better, but this one is also worth cjecking 7/
freak51
I found nothing redeeming in this one. A couple of tracks I could listen to, but I found nothing worth paying for. Other labels have far surpassed this series for chill-out stuff. The attempt to integrate with the dubby Thievery Corp sound was a good idea and could still produce interesting results, just not on this record. 3.5/
Guest SuttoXXX
Being a big fan of the first two in the series, I had high expectations of this album. For the most part, it does not disappoint. The first disc has many good tracks, 3,6,8, and another great track from Lumo. The second disc is significantly weaker than the first. No real standout track to remember, but no awful selections either. I give this album a 7/10 just for the first disc alone. Where is MMG4? Guest psionicwill[at]yahoo[dot]com
Before you all carry on about the mediocrity of this album let me inform you of some inside information about Quaid, those tracks where written about 6-7 years ago and all things considered where and are pretty ahead of their time, just wanted to give some credit where credit is well due. Admittedly we are entitled to our opinion but felt the need to point this out. Any comments welcome.
