Guest Gustav
V/A - Melatonic Music Artist: Various Title: Melatonic Music Label: Totally Eclipsed Recordings Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 05'30" Toires : Smoking Gun 02. 08'36" Total Eclipse : Nakano Ghost 03. 05'34" Electroslide : Building Blocks 04. 05'23" Toires : Barmanu 05. 06'55" Typhoon : Along Bay 06. 06'58" Cosmos Diplomatik : 1968 07. 06'54" Pyxis : Helix Nebula 08. 04'37" Cosmos Diplomatik : Science Lab 09. 06'44" Total Eclipse : Kalevala 10. 05'38" Electroslide : Sunny Vibes Review: I really like the non-synth sounds featured in many of the tracks here; percussion, flutes, guitars and more. The tracks; Total Eclipse contributes with two beautiful songs; "Kalevala" - a floating ethno-ambient track, and "Nakano Ghost" - similiar style, but faster and more synth'ish sounds. I thought Toires sounded really interesting, judging from the discussions on the forum, and I surely didn't get disappointed with these two tracks. Abstract funky vibes with multilayered pads, ethnic sounds and sound effects. The Cosmos Dimplomatik tunes are also very groovy. Typhoon (Total Eclipse) again delivers some high-quality ambient. Pyxis doesn't really reach up to the same level as the other tracks, still quite ok. The two songs by Electroslide really makes a happy impression. The acoustic guitar on "Sunny Vibes" fits so nice! Very fresh and groovy sounds, a perfect summer-chiller. The guys from Total Eclipse has made a great job compiling this one. They're also involved in many of the other tracks. Very high average quality, not a single bad track. Highly recommended!
Guest Infected Max
Very good compilation with the smell of the sea and forests of the South West Coast of France. All artists are from there And u feel it. Sunny stuff, relaxed music. Very good compilation.
Guest Erik Svedman">Erik Svedman
When I got this compilation (sometime during the late atumn last year) I enjoyed it a lot, so for me it's an autumn compilation more than anything else. A good one too. Maybe not mindbending psychedelia, but nice beats and melodies. The Total Eclipse tunes are the best ones, but they're a bit to good compared to the other tunes, which makes the compilation a bit uneven. Especially as the other tunes are quite similair and not of the same superb quality as the TE tunes. Anyway, this is a good first compilation from Totally Eclipsed Recordings and I'm looking forward to the sequal. Enjoy!

Guest Globalsteez
This is a very nice cd for the trancers more pensive mood amidst all the madness. Good stuff and something different.
Guest AtomikElf
something to fill the gap. i'd say about 6/10. it's enjoyable and relaxed so don't expect mindblowers. if u've got money to blow then buy it, otherwise consider something else. nice for afternoons preparing for a house-party. start the house up without being invasively psychedelic. get your mind on the mission ahead. yeah, it's that kinda vibe.
