Guest Baboon
Lando - Minimal Mission Artist: Lando Title: Minimal Mission Label: Global Trance Network Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 07'45" Pow Wow 02. 07'09" Vision Quest 03. 08'33" LSD Suchmaschine 04. 07'13" Heyoka 05. 07'58" Plastic Fantastic 06. 07'30" Dragonboat 07. 08'27" Landlizard Song 08. 07'25" Trip To Kerala Review: Landos debut album, contains... guess what? :-P minimanlistic floor pounding allthrough! Never the less... this is a very nice album, it´s not just pure minimal brain pounding. The first 4 tracks are'nt that good, but tracks 5-8 are real killers in my opinion, very nice for wood-stompin'. :-) At hole this album is a nice version of the new so called "minimal tech-trance", as said not as boring as much other "german style" minimal trance is. A very good choice for DJs who want's his/her crew to freak out on the dancefloor, might not be that good choice for You people who enjoy home-listening... if You're not into minimal that is. Guest iNFiNiTi500
An empty, emotionless affair IMO which leaves no impression at all...the tribal percussion is nicely done though...and are the Safri Duo doing minimal nowadays ("LSD suchmaschine)? If u always fancied a couple of analogue washing machines in hefty conversations and a bored African which plays some bongo stuff..."Minimal Mission" is the perfect album for U... Guest transphere
This is sooo cool... never heard anything like this. Hard to describe it, it's... awesome, dark, mysterious and a bit scary, especially 'Dragonboat' and which is a masterpeice according to me! Well, I don't know what to give this CD, maybe 6 or 7... it isn't BAD, but it aint SUPER either. It is his debut album - but it looks good! I'm looking forward to new releases! Guest av
I agree with transphere, theres just something about dragonboat...its such an evolving psychadelic journey without resorting to typical psy blips and lfo sounds (not that theres anything wrong with that...but its always great when someone can achieve a similar effect using different ingredients) I quite like lando, though i won't listen to it very often, its always enjoyable when i do. -Av
