It´s kinda cool album anyway, some kind of wierd, twisted techno vibes but yet with a psy-trance touch in my opinion =))), very great sounds and melodies though in the tracks. This album is surely worth checking out if you wanna try something more wierd and maybe a bit diffrent =) Some tracks are also great chill tunes Best tracks are 1 And 2 !!! 7/10 ! Guest Slidingtrancer
As I liked Genetic's earlier work, I immediately bought this cd. At the beginning i must say I was a bit disappointed cuz it wasn't as much psytrance as I wanted it to be. Its more psychedelic techno in my view. But as I was 'stuck' with it anyway, I gradually started to like the thing. Especially track 6 ( type Error v2.0) is a real good track. As a non-fan of minimalistic psytrance i surprised myself in liking this. It's versatile but effective. Paul Jackson really grabs a hold of you in time . But i have to warn ya, you'll probably only like this cd in time rather than at first. Some nice 'dub' tracks on here as well. All in all a good cd, brilliant at times, awfully repetetive in time, but nice as a background. 7,5/
Guest dj_auryn
I have to agree with slidingtrancer above, you only start to really like this album in time. Paul Jackson's quality is his subtlety; you don't really realize that the tracks are so perfected until you realise that after listening a dozen times to what appears to be a minimalistic album, ýou're anything but bored! I keep discovering new things about this album, which means that, in all it's modesty, it's a masterpiece 9/
Guest goatacks[at]hotmail[dot]com
I just bought this album which I wanted for a while, I consider the album which makes me experience short journey is a good album, even it is not mix CDs . Unlike other techno minimalistic style trance recently most producers release, it has some good combination of melody of "Asian/ Alien Templistic" ethnic tune (I just call that way) with almost ethnic/progressive drums tune. Listen carefully, and you see what I mean. 9/

Guest vernon sullivan
yes I agree, this one DEFINITELY rewards repeated listening, after the first time i heard it I was just about ready to bin it but in fairness i listenned a few more times and it really started to grow on me... it's nothing like I expected, the tracks almost all have a STRONG acid house/techno influence, but there's something going on in there that makes it more than this, theres surely some trance going on here too! =) My favourite tracks are the trancy "nerve centre" (track2-lovely melody) and above all meta audio (track 7) - this one isn't what I'd call trance, maybe downbeat minimal house beats (?) but with these 2 melodies chasing each other over the top, one on a highly-tweaked 303 sound and the other on this mellow muted vibe sort of sound, a really nice mellow groovey track, really chilled =) As much as I hate putting labels on things, I'd agree that this album really deserves the name of psychedelic techno (unlike artists like 3.turn/authentik which I still call trance) because this is psychedelic in a whole different way to trance, actually you might even call it intelligent techno if you wanted to sound like an arrogant prick with your head up your arse =) but seriously, this album is very different to most others on this site, if you're looking for typical psytrance this isn't what you want, or even if you're looking for the hard banging sounds of the likes of 3.turn or snug as a bug...this aint for you. But if you're prepared to be challenged then take a listen. My only complaint is that alot of the sounds used are very dated, we're talking a whole studio full of old roland boxes by the sound of this album, which might not be a bad thing depending on your taste...but personally I think some fresher sounds might have really made this one a classic. freak51
Nice production but, like vernon s noted above, the sounds are mainly very old. 7/10 from me.
