Guest Tequila
Saafi Brothers - Mystic Cigarettes Artist: Saafi Brothers Title: Mystic Cigarettes Label: Blue Room Date: 1997 Track listing: 01. 10'34" Sweet Sirenes 02. 08'43" On Air 03. 14'23" 2046 04. 14'23" Together In Silence 05. 10'36" Supervision 06. 10'16" International Code Error 07. 07'50" International Code Error 930 Review: Mystic Cigarettes is a really peaceful Ambient album. The tracks are very slow, but remain rich and full of melody.Sometimes is this album more ambient than goa but the quality of the sounds is better than the slowliness of the music. The best track is for me International Code Error wich is really excellent and contains original sounds.Exactly like Delta Aquarids, this CD is no more printed so, if you find it, do not hesitate and buy it. Guest Ominuss[at]hotmail[dot]com
A really excellent cd, very mellow. I love the sound of this album, together in silence really kicks ass with it's reggae style.
Guest a_ozi
One of the best ambient/downtempo/mild goa albums i'v heard without a doubt. Smooth as a baby's bottom with a touch of talcum powder and the smell of incense. 10 out of 9. Looking forward to their new album coming soon. freak51
Yah. The original Trance/Dub effort, and one of the few I've heard that really works. Still sounds absolutely fabulous when so much from 1997 sounds like kiddie candy or confused mismanaged expeditions into desperate terrain. I thought that the Saafi Bros had broken up? Or did you, a_ozi, mean Gab's Lab or Gab's Gift?
Guest d.mcnair[at]dailyrecord.co[dot]u
This album reeks of class from start to finish and is a trance/chillout masterpiece. Rather bizzarely, I met the girl who inspired the title (her nickname for joints) when I was staying in Amsterdam (surprise surprise) I was amazed though, cos I was already a big fan of the album. 10/

Guest jeffe
A great Cd nice to chill.... but one major problem : sounds are very close from one song to another...so some people can find it a little bit boring...You have to know this It's really ambiant ... Guest jgitter1[at]uswest[dot]net
One of my favorites. My favorite tracks are Sweet Sirenes, Supervision, and Internal Code Error. Very good for writing code to, or chilling w/ friends. I had to order from Europe, since it is hard to find good goa in Minneapolis. I'm waiting for Midnight Children to arrive in my mailbox yet... Guest adp028[at]mail[dot]usask[dot]ca
This is one of the few landmark albums which have brought trance musick among the immortal. From the framed silence at the beginning, to the love calling sound at the end. "Together in Silence" has what could be called a "trance male vocal" that gives a beautiful voice , whom obviously believes what he is speaking. Sporting some of the best album art ever, i.e. magick carpets. A visionary album, which took great leaps in divining the nature of trance. Guest [Anonymous]
Yees I like this one very much. To bad I've lost my cd, there doesn't seem to be a way to find it.
Guest Goa Sage
"Together In Silence" is the best track here. It's sooo soft, chilly and dubby. Terrific sounds and breaks. "2046" is cool as well, with those beautiful "Summertime!" vocals. The other tracks sound old, stiff and boring. Not as good as I thought after reading the reviews, but still a decent investment. Guest Psylent Buddhi
Excellent, excellent! Mystic Cigarettes is exactly the kind of music I want for my music! Really awesome IMO! Very floaty and dubby with a lot of chords and pads in the background! YUMMY!! Plur - Psylent Buddhi

Guest clark_303
I don't know why but this album always feels kind of distant when I listen to it, like I never seem to know it that well, I don't remember the details, that is. But I still love it, a very relaxing album with smooth sounds and very nice vocal samples on them. I can't really pick any favorite track because they're still, after about 20 listens so distant(or I just get that atmosphere from them and it seems alien) but still lovely. Get it if it's still available. -Clargoa
Guest rx7style
This album is so soothing to listen to! It's pure, straight-forward, and intelligent ambient with a few beats. It's perfect for just freeing your mind. I too do not remember the details much, but I just found a copy of this today and I've only listened once. But so far, I really like Supervision the best. Such sweet pitch bending effects -- very smooth transition of notes. Anyway, pick this up if you can find it. I wish I could find their new album too! seraph
extremely good chill album...It is mellow, etherical and simple but in a very good way...Great journey, especially if you're under the same effect of the album title...hehehe 9/
freak51
I dusted this off and played it for the first time in years last night. It was even better than I had remembered it - as always! This one's a keeper, still gorgeous after five years and dozens of nu-sound fads.

Guest Davidtolsn
i find this to be an average ambient cd. it has some nice stuff, but nothing really stands out for me. good background music but won't hold my attention for long like shpongle or atmos. the only track i really don't care for is 4, i do not like the reggae sounds. my favorite is internal code error 930. 7.1/
Trance2MoveU
Artist: Saafi BrothersTitle: Mystic CigarettesLabel: Blue RoomDate: 1997Track listing:01. 10'34" Sweet Sirenes02. 08'43" On Air03. 14'23" 204604. 14'23" Together In Silence05. 10'36" Supervision06. 10'16" International Code Error07. 07'50" International Code Error 930 Winning. Seriously Charlie you shouldn't smoke, gives you cancer and you might die. Actually I picture his death due to a 6 night bender of heroin and cocaine after he gets behind the wheel on the way to the 7-11 for a pack of Funions. Only he doesn't die in an auto accident. He threw up on the way into said 7-11 and on the way out slipped on his own vomit and fractured his skull. Sounds about right. Never heard of these guys so I thought I'd throw myself into the unknown. It's got a dreamy feel with soft goa sounds. Kinda like I'm high. There's dub and that distinctive reggae percussion which lends credence to the high thing. Can't speak of reggae without talking about weed. And this is perfect get stoned and watch flowers grow music cause you can get lost in the length of these tracks. And because of that it becomes background music. Soundtrack to Candy Crush. And emails. There really isn't very much change across the tracks to keep my attention. Not bad, but nothing that would have me searching out a copy. Especially at insano Discogs prices. Goa-Head
Indeed, no matter how good this is discogs keep pricing this unreasonably high :-I I am happy to have found this for around €16 circa 4 years ago.
Blair Thaumic
The deeper the better. And this is very deep ambient trance indeed. Not many hummable melodies herein, but they would be beside the point. Kohlbecker and Le Mar have always been about subtle notes and dreamlike atmospheres. Indeed, no matter how good this is discogs keep pricing this unreasonably high :-I I am happy to have found this for around €16 circa 4 years ago. It's not like the music can't be heard through, ahem, other means.
