Dab Screen : The Boxes Below Review: CD 1 NIGHT is compilated by Mark Allen. CD 2 DAY by Greg Lunar, a nice concept. CD1 contains the monumental Yebo by Quirk. If you don't love this, then stop reading, and avoid this CD. Hopefiend´s track is really funky and builds up nicely. Electric Tease track is really funny, a little dark but has a really cool sample, and finally Logic Bombs moment is good as usual. It ends with a good but old track from Element. CD2 starts with a beautiful track by 12 moons. Hyperions remix of Soft Focus is only "nice", this is a really cool track but they avoid to confront it and only created a cool remix to listen while drinking margaritas. A good track from Tristan with its classic dark sound and finally my favourite track from this CD from Filur side project of Sebastian of Son Kite, this one is really house oriented but has a lot of power. Overall this compilation is really good because it deals with a style that reflects the influence of psychedelic trance in other styles, and I found it more interesting than old school goa or GMS "sounds the same" tracks. So if you like Quik, Mark Allen crossover style or house music get this one. 8/

shahar@isratrance
Short one this time. I'll just say that this is great club music- very innovative and very interesting- but to call it night and day? Well... I think the Transient ppl should go to a few outdoor parties again- you know, dance in nature a bit. Great home listening though, don't get me wrong. Favorites: CD1- Dallas Kiss, Hopefiend, Electric Tease (!), Mumbo Jumbo, Slid. CD2- 12 Moons, Filur, Fabel, Dab Screen (!).
