I thought Flatline Records was a new label when I bought this record

because the cataloguenumber is spies01, but according to the Flatline

Records webpage: http://www.flatline-records.de has the label been

arround since 1998. I get the feeling that this label has mostly

released electro, techno and ebm in the past but with this release they

might change their direction? "character" (6/10) is a slow dark track

with a different rythm and moaning choirs. It doesn´t follow the normal

blueprint for psytrance at all. It sounds more like the EBM-act Front

Line Assembly or perhaps you can compare it with Semsis? I think it´s a

pretty good track and it gets better and better every time I listen to

it. "t.d.r.o.s" (5/10) is similar to "character" and it has that touch

of EBM too, but it´s not as good though! The third track, "headless

angel" (4/10) remixed by Kris Kylven, feels very brittish. It´s some

kind of psy-breakbeat and I´m not so keen on that mix between the two

genres. The last track is "les ailes du désir" (8/10) remixed by Tim

Schuldt and he doesn´t dissapoint me. I think most of his work is

excellent and somehow his remixes of other peoples music gets even

better than his own music. "les ailes du désir" is a track with lots of

energy, angry guitars and that typical Tim Schuldt-beat! If you´re a

true fan of Tim Schuldts music like me, then you´ll have to get this 12".

Cant agree more with stormbringer... if u like timschuldt and guitars, u will

like this rmx.. very good music i think...

other tracks not really psytrance. not bad tracks, but not psy,goa or any kind

of trance.
