It's Patchwork again.After the great debut album,Jens Paulsen has

evolved his sounds into a more tasty ones.But this one is less

psychedelic than the previous."Odeon" is a bunch of many styles-

ambient,drum'n bass,jazz,etc.Many sad tunes unfolds in this chapter

showing how cold life can be and how lonely you feel when you're

misunderstood in this society.Listen to "Earwax","Crisps","Instant

Pop" and "Nudge Left" and you'll realize that I'm not telling you

lies.Yet Jens Paulsen remains one of my favorite compositors.Oh,yes-a

compositor!Buy this one and enjoy the beautiful sadness.9.5/10

In my opinion the best Patchwork-Album. This album has so many different styles

that it is no time boring. The first track has jazz-touch. Tracks 2 and 3 are

more trip-hop. 4-6 has slow breakbeats (and wonderful melancholic melodies in

track 5) and 7 is another trip-hop song. Then comes the fastests tracks: 8-10

is drum'n'bass (more melodic than the regular dnb-music from america, and also

better). The last track is a slow conclusion of a very good cd. I agree with

"mikrozomme" that this work shows us the cold life, i think, it's very

melancholic. A dream about the waiting for better times. When i hear this

music and close the eyes, then i see a city during a cold and rainy winterday.

But it isn't a bad city, it's a sleeping and peacefully city. Because of this

"film-in-the-head-effect" i love ambient-music very much. My favourite tracks

are 2,3,6 and 10. Rating: 10/10
