Rating : 3.5/10 Quote
Guest Tequila Posted January 31, 2000 Posted January 31, 2000 a lot of original sounds...but with no links between them. That makes a boring Album. You might appreciate it 4 its complexity but with no enjoyable melodies, that will be a hard work! 5/10 Quote
Guest Infected Max Posted February 1, 2000 Posted February 1, 2000 10 times less good than the first one (Delirious)... Too Cheesy melodies..i'm so sad..Ofer have a great potential!!! The morning song could have been a BIG BIG track...but the melody ruins everything...The 3 firsts minutes are awesome!!! Quote
Guest The dude Posted February 13, 2000 Posted February 13, 2000 Hmmm...Some tracks start well - good drum programming, big dark bass, but after about 2 minutes they get ruined by silly cheesy melodies that sound totally out of place. 2 out of 6 worth a play though in an early set though. 2.5/10 Quote
Guest mrsyed Posted February 15, 2000 Posted February 15, 2000 I like this album much more than the first one even though it does not provide more mindf**king music. It is not very innovative but I feel the maturity. The sounds are phatter less strident and accessible. It is also more varied but that does not make any less cohesive. Love to hear more of this. Guest Deku81 Posted February 24, 2000 Posted February 24, 2000 Delirious is in my opinion a much better album. Only good tracks on this one is Raw and The Morning Song. Too bad cause I know Ofer can do much better music than this. Quote
Guest Ktaadn Posted April 1, 2000 Posted April 1, 2000 While some of these tracks don't go over well on the album, wait till you see 'em live! Oforia's PA is nothing short of mindblowing; his tunes seem to acquire a certain edginess and extra punch. Perhaps it lends some other perspective to the album. I'm a great fan of this one. Don't pigeonhole the Israeli sound without listening to Ofer's catalog of music. Well done...8/10 Quote
Guest X - Dreamer in NYC Posted April 12, 2000 Posted April 12, 2000 Great album except I paid $25 to see Ofer and I waited for track number three and this guy didn't play it what the hell is his problem. Anyway the album is great until ambiant tracks come on then its time fot the switch to another cd. 7/10 Quote
Guest Yaniv Posted April 17, 2000 Posted April 17, 2000 Well worth it for the morning song alone. I agree a bit heavy handed on the chill side BUT Ofer is a composer and a fucking monster at that, all his work is pure platinum.Lovely. Quote
Guest djonanis[at]hotmail[dot]com Posted May 11, 2000 Posted May 11, 2000 Although track 7 is a retro electro shit I found this album a very good psytrance piece, the art work is beatifull. Track 1 is one of my favourites as well as track 3, very good for the dance floor. 8/10 Quote
Guest Infected Max Posted June 5, 2000 Posted June 5, 2000 I'm still shocked about how bad this albums sounds..Ofer!!! you're the best....what did happened...you gave me a trauma! Quote
Guest hoax[at]cybergal[dot]com Posted June 21, 2000 Posted June 21, 2000 Very good for the dance floor. Best tracks are 1,3,4. 7.5/10 Quote
Guest Cnt97 Posted July 3, 2000 Posted July 3, 2000 The Morning Song is fun and very nice ..with that stolen melody.. really cool song 7/10... alot better than I thought! Quote
Guest andrescottin[at]mac[dot]com Posted February 8, 2001 Posted February 8, 2001 Ofer can do so much better........ boring, weak. raw and e-motion are ok, but nothing really satisfies. What the hell is that melody in the morining song all about????? 3/10 Quote
Guest SuttoXXX Posted May 5, 2001 Posted May 5, 2001 I'm a die hard Ofer fan... Deirious, Pigs in Space and Multimoods were incredible... but this really isn't a very good release!! I like the ambient tracks at the end, but everything before that is kinda cheesy!! Now with that said, I don't dislike this albm, I was just seriously let down by it!! more Ofer please!! but not like this... 5/10 Quote
Guest Eris Posted August 1, 2001 Posted August 1, 2001 I have to disagree with most of the people who have given this an unfavourable review. It sounds pretty mature to me, and a quite acceptable progression from the last album.Doesn't have to be banging to be intense! It reminds me in places of the great Robert Leiner/Source Experience.Wonder what he's up to these days. Quote
Guest SjÖgGe Posted December 11, 2001 Posted December 11, 2001 This is Oforia, this is a masterpice, i got this cd a monht ago, and i cant stop listen to it, i saw him live and my good it was sssoooo tttwwwiiissttteedddd, i think track 1,2,3,4,5,6,.... i like the Israely sound.. Quote
Basilisk Posted February 8, 2002 Posted February 8, 2002 The Morning Song is cheeky fun but the rest, no thanks. Quote
seraph Posted February 10, 2002 Posted February 10, 2002 Another good one from Ofer....yes, DELIRIOUS is better, but this one is pretty good too... best on album : BIONIC DOG, RAW, MORNING SONG, AQUATEC, VAN ALIEN.... 8/10 Quote
Trance2MoveU Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Sorry Ofer, I hope nothing is broken. There are certain albums that stand the test of time and sound good 20 years later. Classics. This is not one of them. This album is rife with long, sleep inducing stretches of full-on lethargy. Three tracks in it's really just white noise. People cannot seriously compare this to Delirious, it's nowhere close. One was a steak and the other a two day old Big Mac. Clearly with the release of Read More he's still massively talented and he's had a hand in some legendary releases, but this one is certainly not a jewel in his crown. Quote
Manuser Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 Indeed MdK, can't disagree with your review. Not a memorable album. But I share most opinions about The Morning Song. It smells and stinks cheese but I just can't dislike it, quite the opposite it must be one of my favorite of all time when it comes to cheesy tracks. Listen to it and you'll see what I mean! Quote
Ormion Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 The Morning Song is one of the best nostalgic/melodic/melancholic/morning tracks out there and Voice Of Delusion is definitely top 5 Goa ambient material. Raw is cool, but incomplete. The rest is pretty forgettable. Quote
