08. 07'07" Maharishi

09. 08'23" Blue Moonies

Review:

Process is Benji Vaughan and Sean Williams and they're among the veterans of

psytrance. They've been signed to such labels as Flying Rhino, Tip, Matsuri

and Transient. This new album is fairly good and offers good, quality

British psytrance. My personal favourites are Oktober Revolution and

Psychobabble (Hint: Killer-melody!!), but I generally look upon this album

as an entity and the tracks blends beautifully into each other. The style

can't really easily be categorised. At times it's dark, moody and

minimalistic, but then there's full-on stomping, psychedelic moments as

well. All in all, this is good without being anything special. Rating:

7,4/10 Bom shankar!

Guest 2 drops enough for now

Great album with some fresh sounds. You may already have t5 and t9. Fresh

sounds and undefinable tracks that are neither night or day. tx 2,6,7,8 my

faves of the new cuts

i like this, too. reminds me a little of of tristan. the tracks are developing

slowly, and are built more around funny noises than melodies, but this is more

minimal and funky than tristan. still, lots of stuff, you will only discover

about the third time around. 63 points and two squares.

"...By every thought, word and action every individual is setting forth influence on its surroundings. And this influence is not restricted to any boundaries. It goes on and on and reaches every level of creation..."

And so is this AWESOME ALBUM!!! Before it I just heard couple of their tracks and they were all good - always innovative, with crazy ideas and fresh sounds. As Deathposture said, their style can't really be categorised, but surely it's a great one! They mix everything what is good in today's psy-trance - lots of acid sounds, tomping and bending basses, hard kicks and broken rhythms, lots of weird fx, scratchy noises and atmospheric synth lines. One could wonder why it is so special then? Because the music here is so emotional and full of feelings! First half of the CD is hard: Oktober Revolution has this outdoor-dry sound (which is always very nice) and some fine acid twisting in the end. Terrorist and Prismatic are dark, very dark in fact. I think that Prismatic is the kind of track, about which Children would say "the only Bad Track is Track 4." (no offense man! ;)) because it's very strange and noisy. That's why I like it! Psychobabble is the first and really the last track with melody. Great bass in second part too. Mono Klang is one of the saddest psy-trance tunes I heard but at the same time it's so beautiful it hurts... Then Quality Solids is kinda jazzy with cool guitar samples and Blue Moonies (wonderful bass in first minute) is funky. Worth mentioning are beautiful synths parts in Mono Klang (from 3+ mins., reminds Sandman a little) and in Maharishi (I also love this voice sample at 4.49+ quoted above). Best tracks? I think they all are great, though Maharishi seams to be the most appealing at the moment!!! The only drawback is that this album is too short ? only 61 minutes! They could easily fit two more tracks there, buuuuuu? :(

BUY IT NOW!!!

This album is awesome. I've been looking a long time for something like this.

It's hard to describe the sound but it's like a mix between Kraftwerk, Texas

faggot, Ka-sol, psyharmonic sounds and funk music. Buy this album now if you'd

like to free yourself from the usual boring psytrance sounds 10/10

Didn't get it after couple of listenings, but now I'm truly lost in the

psychedelic world of process.. heehee.. Great album with, umm,

dark-trippy-minimalistic-techtrance tracks on it.. or something..

like the dank man said, this one "makes you dance like a liguid robot..", track

4: Prismatic for example.. which is one of my favourites.. and 1, 5, 6, and 9,

which is great ending track for this cd, are also brilliant.. oh, and I just

love those electric-basslines.. Bzzzz..

one of the top5 trance albums ever made. most trance is pseudo-psychedelic, bu

this is full on true psychedelia in the most twisted and beautiful and

mind-spinning way. this album is ASTONISHING perfection. (however, the two

Tipworld songs don't seem to match the rest of the album imho. methinks

perhaps benji had more of a hand in these ones and sean the upper hand in the

others. from listening to prometheus compared to process, it seems benji is

more into music, while sean is more into mental sound constructions, as am i)

Oh, yeah! I just bought this cd (from psyshop) and its great! It does not

suffer from the "overpolished feel" that I think many new albums does. Sound

like benji and sean had alot of fun making this thing.

Hehehe at the end of mono klang there's a sound that remembers me jean michell

jarre.

Very nice psychedelia, slow, deep, organic, noisy, not comercial sound.

Forest trance.

I don't like this cd, and fail to understand why others like it so much. I like

many process songs, but most of the tracks on here are average or bad, the

only one I really like is Oktober Revoltuion, and 5-6 are also ok. Other than

that it doesn't even make good background music. 4/10

I can't understand anyone who gave less than 10/10.

Even today psytrance can't match the production and variance made by these guys. And the trick is? Pact with some very badass Demon??? Well, the price was paid and the souls are lost, but the higher definition of sound got defined, so definitely a good deal.

Sometimes I can't get into this album at all, but a couple of the times I could I was swearing it was like the finest psychedelic trance I'd heard!

I think this one requires very active/focused listening, preferably on a good system and in a spacy state of mind... Mono Klang and Terrorist are killer...

The music has a very cold minimalist quality to it, it's very clean and reserved or something, so I had a hard time warming up to it at first... Very complex and intelligent music...

Mmmm. Very tasty album.

Just the way i like, progressive sound in its finest form.

The other good thing that it sounds very different from the rest and takes a special place in my mind.

Already listened to it about 20 times (and i got the possibilty just this summer) and will return any time i want something special.
