Guest Stormbringer
Paste - Paste Artist: Paste Title: Paste Label: Neurobiotic Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. Progo 02. Pesto Pasta Review: This is the very first 12" release from NEUROBIOTIC RECORDS and I must say I expected more from Paste. They´ve been releasing a lot of quality minimal stuff over the last couple of months but I don´t think this EP is so exciting. "Pestopasta" (6/10) After three LONG minutes of NO action at all "Pestopasta" finally starts to sound like something similar to what Paste usually sounds like. It´s minimal and dark, as most of the tracks released these days, but Paste has something many other bands don´t have, the crispy beat that seems to be the base in all their tracks, atleast in those I´ve heard. I love that groove but this track is way too minimal to get me really interested. "Progo" (4/10) sounds even more like a true zombiehymn. It´s ultraminimal with just a beat and some echoing noises. If you want your zombietrance to be crispy, or if you like the sound of the Ibogalabel, this 12" might be something for you!

freak51
It's a wee bit progressive, and the A side is iffy to me. The B side is well sorth owning. I'm looking forward to further releases from this outfit.
