Review:

 

Seb Taylor and Denis Kozlov [in-R Voice] somehow got together in a studio and

made a pretty solid release. Present Moment follows suit with the traditional

Shakta sound -- eerily melodic in a darker sense, with aggressive synth lines.

This track sounds like a mix of Huxflux and Digitalis, with crazy computer

bleeps abundant and funky rhythms it's hard to not enjoy this pounding track.

The sound is more minimal, as there's less going on and less variation, but

it's still pleasant to listen to. The remix reminds me of old trance in the

beginning, like Salamander - Tempest or Poltergeist - Vicious Circles jumps

into mind... sounds remarkably similar with the octave jumping bassline and

deep beats. This track is more melodic, but again quite minimal as the track

only has a few breaks and builds and then it's over! It's nice to re-live the

old sometimes, and this track brings back only good memories. Nothing

innovative or particularily mind here, but this is all definitely worth a

listen as these tracks are at the least interesting, and really pound.

i can't believe someone reviewed this. it's not very well know, but let me

tell you, it's a killer. the original is nothing special, but the electric

tease remix is the true gem on this EP. it's got some UK hard house

influences(?), a really sick long breakdown which leads to an explosive

climax. not your typical psytrance, but if this doesn't get the dancefloor

going, i don't know what will. 9.5/10 for the remix. BOM
