Guest Pit-UFO
V/A - Psychedelic Vibes 4 Artist: Various Title: Psychedelic Vibes 4 Label: Phonokol Date: 1998 Track listing: 01. 08'08" Johann : Stranded (The Delta Rmx) 02. 09'04" X-Dream : Brain Forest 03. 08'53" Crop Circles : Full Mental Jackpot (Pleiadians Rmx) 04. 08'21" The Infinity Project : Hyperactive (Acid Rockers Rmx) 05. 07'46" Psychaos : Chaos to Order 06. 06'49" Z to A : White Powder 07. 07'45" Somaton : Principles of Gravity 08. 08'32" Lagoon : Subaquatic 09. 07'13" Orion : Highway Review: A good comp full of big names. Stranded its great, Brain Fores is not X-Dreams best track but has fun noises, Pleiadiand (Rmx) would please any fan from this group, then my favourite track by Infinity Project with an awesome remix. Chaos to Order its dark and psychotic. White Powder its very drug oriented with a great voices. The Somaton and Orion tunes are not so good and finally Subaquatic from Christof D. has that memorable Transwave sound that many of us really miss. 7.5/

khogg
Wow. Nice compilation. I bought it to get the Stranded remix which is an awesome guitar track. Brain Forest, Full Mental Jackpot, & Hyperactive are all excellent. I do like Chaos to Order but it has this repetative screachy sound in it that I get tired of. That's probably just me, most people will like it I think. White Poweder is cool. I love the husky voice samples. This one sounds very similar to Z to A's Next Stop Oblivion, which I suppose is hardly surprising : ) "I can feel insects crawling under my skin." Principles of Gravity is okay, definitely listenable, will probably grow on me. I haven't heard the Somaton album, but this track would fit perfectly on Shakta's Silicon Trip album. Subaquatic & Highway are both mellower and softer without being chill-out tracks. Overall, a solid compilation with some awesome songs, some good, and no stinkers. 2 thumbs up! Trance2MoveU
If you can honestly look me in the eye and tell me that the repeated sample on White Powder is in any way acceptable I'll shave my balls. And the guitar strumming on Stranded? Ugh. I suppose if you like "guitar trance" then you'll like it. But studies show that those who like guitar trance are 67% more likely to be a hermaphrodite. It's true, I read it on the internet. Full Mental Jackpot (Pleiadians Remix) Principles of Gravity Brain Forest Chaos To Order Subaquatic *mic drop* Mdk
Paul Eye
And the guitar strumming on Stranded? Ugh. Well sorry to rain on your parade but that track is a fucking dancefloor bomb. I've played it several times and people have loved it, I've danced to it several times and will do anytime someone plays it.
Trance2MoveU
I...understand. Can't argue with the people. They're never wrong. Of course...might I refresh your memory of a song that, at the time, had the whole world in unison. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiBYM6g8Tck Mdk
Paul Eye
Sometimes my "think twice before posting" circuits malfunction. This was such an occasion. Well, on the positive side, I'm listening to the entire comp for the first time in ages right now
Trance2MoveU
Nothing to be sorry about. You're right it still is a pretty good compilation. Guitar trance for the most part just ain't my thing.
