I've had this one for a while now, and after some listens thought it would be good to post a review. Track by track, with really short explanations of each track, I'll review this, so it won't get too long. CD1 then. Starts off pretty good with a deep track by Blake C, with the typical Gab flavour added. Builds up nicely, this one sounds more like dark ambient. Corellian next, which is actually Cass / Darshan, so the result is a long, deep sounding track with a hypnotic flavour. I like this one. Track 3 however is not my cup of tea. This is too minimalistic even with my liking for most minimalism. Skip it. This just doesn't sound very good IMO. Cass & Slide do it a whole lot better, this is the best track on CD1 IMO. Long, deep, moody... melodic... Great!! The next track is also good, being quite long also, and offering a real Groovy Element/Alex mix of styles. Next up an older track from MWNN get remixed. Great cl! ubby like flavour, it sounds more like regular trance in parts, but still retains that Psytrance edge. Not bad at all. SBK delivers one of his best tracks here. Great atmosphere in this one. Doof delivers more standard work, but this is one of his better tracks IMO. Gab takes this one out, with more of his ambient like style. CD2 starts off with MOS in a good way, though Kommdas and Timing are better examples of their style IMO. Eat static is not my cup of tea, and what the fuck is this doing on a psytrance compil?? Synchro is better, with a more electric feel to it. Not bad. Info is a typical Midi Miliz track which ends pretty strange, with about 2 minutes of just spoken text. (in German) Still, pretty good track. Has a good groove. Trickster is more typical Minimalistic style and you have to like this to appreciate it. I think it's average. Out of My Brain is better with a great use of guitar again. Keep it up guys! Johann delivers a track in his usual style (with guitars) a! nd I don't really get the X-Dream coop. (or maybe the gunga gunga bassline is their influence?) Amplifier is cool, but why are they 'milking' the Organic Noise album?? (give GTN & Novatekk some time and they'll have the whole album spread out across their compils) Solid rules, this is hard and kicking minimalistic stuff as it should be done... CD2 concludes with The Delta. Great kinda chill song... (the afromentioned milking shit goes for this one too) Anyway, a good compil in my opinion. CD1 is clearly better than 2. Most of the time I'm skipping track 2 and 5 on CD2. Track 3 gets skipped on CD1. I'd say 7,5/10 ... (i'd have given it an 8 were it not for the milking shit they pulled on cd 2 with Organic Noise & The Delta) Bom!!
Guest Le Lotus Bleu
cd1 is largely more melodic than cd2. Good job from gabriel le mar and his remix of nightmarket with his tipically soft sound a little bit oriental. a quite boring trak from correllian, too long , too hypnotic and few amplitude. completly different style with a hacked rythm from dienzephalon. nice melody and little dark atmosphere in opera of cass-slide. pretty remix in a very israelic spirit due to avi algranati (spacecat) in collaboration with dino psaras. if you listen to the bass , you will maybe reconize a very known german disco producer giorgio moroder (especially i feel love of donna summer). Emotionnal tracks of sbk, nice. Interesting track of Doof in a totally different style from his first track like let's turn on. another le mar production here with the rootsman, a track like the first of this cd but the oriental atmosphere is much more present in this one. few words about cd2, begin with MOS (i personnally don't like what they do). Surprising presence of eat static , but a track interesting and different from the rest of the compilation, you can like it if you're open minded. The tracks 3-5-6-7-8 got some rock influences, with more succes for Synchro and it's special style, and the very energic Out of my brain even if the remix with jan muller doesnt improve the original. quite qood composition from trickster. Pure energy from Authentik and quite efficace. Calm and pretty end with the delta with the relaxing Quite and still.
Guest zyrkon[at]caramail[dot]com
Very good progresive trance on cd1 except Dienzephalon which isn't trance nor goa. rating cd1 :8/10 Cd2 is minimal and more psychedelic trance with habitual bullshit from MOS, some things interesting although as eat static, sun project, organic noise and the delta. cd2 is largely weakest than cd1. rating cd1:5,5/10 rating compilation:7/

seraph
What is this ? Pulse serie ? Nah... This is rather some epileptic state of trance we' re in...Blah... I couldn't belive when I got this cd ...The pulse and heart beat vanished, what it stayed are occasional beats and pieces with lots of minimal paranoia....HUH...The only songs that are worth some attention are : REINCARNATION, DAWN OF A NEW ERROR, DUB ORIENTAL, CRITICAL MASS, ECLECTIC ( HECTIC ), QUIET AND STILL...Rest is way to average or deadly boring especially NIGHTMARKET, FOMP, OUT OF MY BRAIN, LEAVE YOUR BODY...3/
