Guest naf
This was the first Pulse compilation I heard, and it is still the best. 90% of the songs are GREAT and the rest are about average. You'll hear lots of unique style goa-trance songs on this compilation, so beware! I'm sure you'll like it though.
Guest [Anonymous]
One of the Best Compilations I have ever bought, I lost it, & then found it again in a 2nd hand store for $18AUD, CD1;IMO, these tracks are the bomb 4,5(In a big way!), & 9 (In small doses & only @ a certain time of the day)CD2;1,2,3(My god, these are classix), & 7! Guest Floydian
The first goa/psy stuff I ever stumbled across (nearly 3 years ago now). Still love to go back to it for the memories - some pretty good tunes. Koxbox's Stratosfierce still rocks my world and generally it's not a bad compil on the whole. I guess its sentimental value to me is quite high, so whatever I say is going to be biased. Still, not bad if you can pick it up 2nd hand cheap... Guest [Anonymous]
Children, you must be joking!!! You think Stratosfierce, Donuts(!!!! so much energy, such great sounds) and Columbian Necktie (words cannot do this justice) are bad???? Guest DBB
there are a few good tracks on this album IMO , but overall it's not that good, I really like the tracks of Prana, subcouds, AP and slinky Wizard and a few others , nice for the collection but not all that special 6/
Balance
I finally got my hands on this recently. It is a wonderfule compilation but I do find the first disc is very light and euphoric, at that time it fitted much more I think in to the more commercial rave and club sound than the harder Goa scene. I can see why many were dissapointed at the time. The second CD is really nice. Even if you have most of these tracks it's often fun to hear them lined up or tracklisted in an alternative fashion. Goa will never die!
ptn
I've just freshed my memory on this one, good times . Some of my favourites are present (Crystal, Vesuvius, Stratosfierce 2001, Klunk), but there are bunch of tracks foreshowing more dark and minimal era, so the subtitle 'The Next Generation' is spot on.
