Guest Pit-UFO
Quirk - Quality Control Artist: Quirk Title: Quality Control Label: Matsuri Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 01'18" Hardware Corruption 02. 06'49" Sleazy Listening 03. 07'12" Paradise Pills 04. 02'30" Trap Door 05. 06'26" X File (Quirk Rmx) - Chakra And Edi Mis 06. 07'15" Wah Wah Wah 07. 08'15" Glam Slam 08. 07'07" Sonic Junky 09. 07'14" El Molino De Viento 10. 07'24" Salvation Review: An album full of fun and weirdness and once again great production. It has always amazed me the amount of noises and layers in every Quirk song and the perfect samples they use. After a great intro it begins with a joke, Sleazy Listening a song with vocals and cow bells. Then Paradise Pills with that huge sample by Underworld sends you to mars. Probably Track 5 is the weakest but after that its a full on trip. Track 6 is perfect for the dance floor then some powerful slam guitars. The last two pieces are more ambient, specially salvation a kind of rip of of Pachelbel Kanon´s Uffffff! 9/
Guest a_ozi
Track 5 the best on this... SOme excellent sounds orchestration and progression on this album... but personally the intro sample and the last track leave me untouched...the first bcos that vocoder/robot sound is so cliche, and the latter bcos iv heard pachabels canons in a million shopping malls and the recognizability of the melody doesnt allow for any sort of original composition to shine through. Also the CD-Rom section od the disc is a total gimmick - possibilities but where? 7/
Guest drpepper
I was first quite dissapointed at this album but lately I have found out it's a real kick ass album. Sit down and listen to this album closely. Very wicked stuff, I must say I kinda like the intro tracks best. Funky psychedelia?
Guest psytrancer
Mmmmmmmm, too un-psytrance for me - Glam rock in parts! and many really annoying samples - 'sleazy listening' and 'paradise pills'. The Chakra and Edi remix is the best track by a country mile, as for the rest - take it away!!!!!!
Guest slinker
As an album of various styles in trance and funky techno it works very well, i saw these guys play this live in the UK and it was one helluva party!!...maybe not entirerly for the dancefloor, but an alltogether enjoyable experience Paradise Pills is one of my favorite Hard dance tracks of the past few years with some classic build ups and soaring noises. Maybe most of the other tracks may not appeal to all..but i kinda like this album 8/10 each track is different as has a style of its own!..definately not boring
Guest Therumz[at]hotmail[dot]com
It's not psy, it's not Goa.. Its quirk. After their first release on Krembo.. they stopped being goa. I didn't relize this until I bought the CD. Thought it was dire cheeze at first but now its one of my favourite CD's, The best track for me is the very bizzare Trap door.. I know its more of an interlude.. but i love it . overall 8/10.. But be warned you gotta be open minded for this one

seraph
This is extremely experimental album, more than the first one...It is very funny at the times and weird and bouncey...Their skill is improved with this album....All songs are different from each other and the album is actually great to listen with lots of friends or on some home party....The best tracks are : 3,4,5,6,7,10....8/
