Guest Somerville
V/A - Raja Rams Stash Bag Sampler Artist: Various Title: Raja Rams Stash Bag Sampler Label: TIP World Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 6'57" Biotonic : 3rd link 02. 7'56" Talamasca : Time Simulation 03. 5'50" GMS : Halloween Review: This ep kiks off with a a nice track from Biotonic with some original noises and a driving kik Its not minimal nor full on trance.Something akin to S Range perhaps.6.5/7/10 Flip that big green and black buddha over and you have Talamasca which has melody and some nice builds, but alas a bit to happy for me at times. Lastly comes GMS with some funny noises this time to spur on those twisted bass lines and melodies. All up this is a great ep as it gives you a good selection of Psy trance genre of music all on the one disc.Ps a big plus for the cover coool check those atoms and buhddas. Basilisk
Popular stuff, no doubt... only Talamasca delivers anything substantial however.

Guest smg
I think Biotonic is the best track here. It rocks hard. Talamasca is nice for a short while but starts to sound too simple and repetitive very fast. GMS track is allright, but nothing special. All in all I give 8/
Guest Selim
Why didn't they put the Space Tribe & Electric Universe "Acid Test" track on this EP? That was BY FAR the best track on Raja Ram's Stash Bag CD, and to the best of my knowledge isn't available anywhere else...

Guest [Anonymous]
i have noticed that in this media many people talk pure shit about all the most success artists of psy (and the more are the ones of TIP), my first question was: if they dont like them why do they care so? pure envy, i dont know if someday (and neither care about it, and more, i hope it never happens) this music will leave the "under". but one thing i will be shure. i dont care about the music, the ones who will be remembered will be First simon posford, IM and some of the crew members of the tip, like raja and GMS. anyway, there are so many medicre artists now. Guest earthborn44[at]hotmail[dot]com
There two ways to look at it, if you want psytrance as a spiritual relatinship with music, i mean, if the goal of psytrance is to kill youe ego, then those people who accept their name to be on a top list or those who repeat the same name just to achieve success (because they have a "quality brand". Would be away from that concept, just like pop stars That is not bad at all, it is just the fact, all my favorite psytrance acts are not very well known , they remain underground because they are diferent from the rest, i think a dj who wants to penetrate deply into the crowd will choose less well known music, most of my most respected djs choose the weirder sounds available, less than formulatic and comercial trance. It is not that those artist are diferent, i bet that if they get a lot of attention they will also start to repeat their formula. A truly master of trance doesn't need/care to be remembered, doesn't care about names or images. In my country people worry about how to make more "big" the scene (the most people the better). I go to these parties and don't feel a big energy, only small pieces of energy floating around (individuals). There has to be variety, and that's why i think is good to have all kinds of trance available, the balance is what we lost, when all becomes a business (like the internet shops who recomend "a cd of the week" and things like that. I love a trance track that represents just one emotion all over it, not like most trance that's trying to give everything in 8 minutes, that is a very easygoing music, very easy to put on the dancefloor because everybody will be happy and the vibe will be like "everything is cool". Thats nice, and maybe a part of the party has to be like that, but the world is also caos, and that's what i like about chaotic trance, if you compromise to dance a crazy fast track, you will be so tired, and maybe the magic rests in the fact that you don;t have a clue of who did the track. Most of the well known groups don;t throw any new energy, doesn't have any surprise left, but members need to eat/party/be still, so i tough maybe tranceheads should buy an island and make a new society, one that flows around the music, were art is as important as breathing. Until now i haven't seen anyone interested in changing their minds, in changing the planet, just money making i am refering to record labels and artist.
