danger
V/A - Reborn Artist: Various Title: Reborn Label: Bionics Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 08'14" Deedrah : Claro! 02. 07'09" Oforia : Minerals 03. 08'53" OTG : Psychological Fx 04. 07'30" Nomad : Critical Level 05. 07'24" OTG : OX 06. 08'38" Psysex : On A Mission (rmx) 07. 07'37" Talamasca : Warming The Luna Park... 08. 07'39" Space Cat : Space Cake Review: This is the first compilation from the japanese/israeli label Bionics Records. Packed only with full on tracks. The first Deedrah track is a bit dissapoint for me, but many others love it. It's psyhouse, but the ending is not so bad. The next is another starcraft psytrance from Oforia. One of his best tracks, very good. The third track from OTG ( Off the Ground ). OTG is a project from one of the labelowners. Psychological FX was on a Flying Rhino comp, but only in mixed form, so finally we can get the full track, which works well on the dancefloor and the sample is really gooood )) DJ Mael aka Nomad gives the next stormtrack. The fifth track is again an OTG product with lovely bass. Next is a Psysex remix of their track from Ful On 5, the original is one of my favourite from them and the remix is another masterpiece, maybe a bit better than the original. The seventh is from Talamasca. Nothing new,, I think he have to evolve, explore a new sound, his tracks works on the dancefloor but always the same sounding is a bit boring and make a new hihat but overall not a bad track I didn't say that! The ending is a tasty Spacecake from Spacecat. A very good starting from a new label, can' wait from more release from them! 9/

Guest kamisama30[at]hotmail[dot]com
psyhouse-yeah right! Anyway this is a fine comp of all the usual bangers-all stomp and no sign of that minimal bolloxs-this renews my faith in trance, all round excellent-dunno about the deedrah track, sounds like boring techno (not a patch on releoad), Offer is good as usual, Talamasca excellent and uplifting, Psysex not bad, could be a bit faster and stompier,OTP-psychological fx is great (Did Christof or GMS help you with that track ?) and the Other OTG track which was released on seventh flight is also excellent although it is a different mix but just as nasty. Anyway if you like your trance floorstomping and sweeping then this is one for you.
Guest Isralien
A very good compilation... but Deedrah, how did he became this popular ? all the tracks i've heard from dado, there is still not one worth hearing, i don't know maybe it's me, i can't hear posford's stuff [except shpongle]. and everybody says the he is a psychedelic god or something, , , well, anyway, what i was trying to say was, this is a good compilation, i liked the avi algarnati's space cake. 8/

Guest Phaeton
very good compilation! it starts off with a little funky housey tune by dado, which i like except for the melody ... oforia gives us a nice stomper with some dreamy morning sounds and lots of harsh metallic stuff (even some of the percussion seems to be flangered to make it sound as metallic as possible .. then we get otg with a track that gradually builds into a brilliant fairy-tale like climax nomad delivers us probably the hardest track on this compilation, if this will not make you bounce nothing will =) great track ... the second otg track is much darker and also very good as nighttime music .. psysex's track is the only track on this compilation that i think is a bit boring .. it sure has its moments with some funny bitcrunching and nice old school 303 melodies, but when i'm trippin' far away i really don't want to hear samples about computers ) talamasca's track is one of his better tracks imo, with some very uplifting melodies and dreamy samples ... and whereas oforia's track seemed to be made of metal, space cat's track is definitely cut out of wood it's a track that might sound a bit boring at home but will really hypnotize you on the dancefloor ... all in all this is a very good compilation of the best french & israeli trance artists, and i'm glad to be introduced to the very promising artist OTG! looking forward to hear more of him 9/
