The first cd is slow beat, but not boring because includes tracks which different by styles. Many tracks were released before but not in such perfomance, the whole mix is nice for chilling. Short intro fade out and next track(2) is beautiful. Magic fluty samples sounds like in shpongle. Next goes more dub-styled compositon. 'Life is' filled with lovely vocals, seems it differ than boom devil in original. Unusual sounds track9. Is it guitars? Last track is a little beat faster. The second cd is more faster, minimalistic. Maybe it is not my cup of tea. But the end of compilation is really good. Crazy track 7 (sample radio!), full power 8 and separate end by Tristan. If you wanna listen good stuff it is just for you. 9/10 because it is not for track-hunters.
Guest [Anonymous]
This is a very nice compilation. The first cd is excellent, a very nice twisted dub mix, and the mixnig is seemless, James Munro seriously outdoes himseld here. The second cd isn't one for those who have a dislike for the more progressive/minimal sounds, but if you do like them, then this mix is wicked. It is a real easy to listen to mix at home, but also I think would be a stomper at an outdoor party. Second best Re:Evolution compilation, the first is still my all time favourtie, and the Re:Evolution series as a whole is the best mix series I have heard. thie compilation, 9/10. abasio
This is re:evolution 4 The 1st CD as usual with the re:evolution series is really good. The track anchors in the mist really makes me imagine ships slowly driving through the misty early morning and the drums in Slivva (slippery drums) are fucking sweet. I never got into the 2nd CD but I know I will someday as I remember the quality was fantastic. It needs an outing with the headphones which I am going to give it soon.
