Guest Charles[at]GreenGalactic[dot]com
Deedrah - Reload Artist: Deedrah Title: Reload Label: Hadshot Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 08'15" Reload 02. 07'29" Purple Unicorn 03. 07'58" Land of Freedom (2001 Mix) 04. 06'56" Fireball 05. 07'47" Far And Away 06. 05'00" Something is Wrong With The Machinery ! 07. 07'16" Gangster 08. 08'50" Liquid Skies 09. 07'42" Ananda 10. 06'38" The Final Swirl Review: This CD has got to be Dado's best work yet! Reload takes you through the entire spectrum of psychedelia. From the supercharged dark opening title track and "Far and Away", to the more melodic sounds of tracks like "Purple Unicorn" and "Land of Freedom", to the more minimal (but still tweaked!) introspection of "The Final Swirl", Reload scores big. 9/
Guest Thexorro
Track Land of freedom is.....aaaaaaaaaAAAARRRGGGGGGG!!!! I love u Deedrah!!9/
Guest iNFiNiTi500
Yeah pretty conving stuff from mr.Deedrah as usual. The pumping opener Reload sets the tone for a psychedelic groove fest of fast beats and infectious melodies. Land of Freedom is a bit too cheesy for my liking but the rest is of no nonsense familiar quality. Maybe a little too familiar in cases cause this 1 won't win the price for originality. This is not as adventurous as Deedrah's excellent Cypher side project but nevertheless a powerfull collection of polished floorstompers. Impossible not to get those booties move. Highlights: Reload, Far and Away and Liquid Skies... 8/

Guest blz
First, I'd like to say thank you Deedrah. As more and more old masters are choosing the easy path of minimalism or experimenting with turkish folkmusic or whatever it's great to see that someone is still ready to put time and effort to create melodic goa that just takes you away to another place. So into the album. 1. Reload: Hard, fast, stomping tune filled with melodies, simply excellent. 2. Purple Unicorn: If you couldn't keep yourself in the chair during the first track, now is the time to sit back and relax with a slower and more dreamy track. 3. Land of Freedom (2001 Mix): Nostalgic trip back to one of the highlights of the last album of Transwave, remixed to fit this album perfectly. 4. Fireball: Less melodic, more funky track, propably not bad, just not for me. 5. Far And Away: Picks up where Reload left, hard and stomping with chorus-like soundscapes in the back and crunchy synth-lines in the front. 6. Something Is Wrong With The Machinery!: Slower track again, quite short and nothing special. 7. Gangsters: Somehow spooky track with lot's of echoes, small minus from the corny voice samples. 8. Liquid Skies: Very melodic track with hypnotic bassline and softer kickdrum. 9. Ananda: Extra melodic bomb with very hard kick, really good. 10. The Final Swirl: Slower track to end the album, very deep bass and quiet melodies. After only few listens I can't yet say if this is a masterpiece like Hypnorhythm or Helium but in this exhausting desert of bass-hi-hat-and-an-occasional-weird-sound this sure sounds like a refreshing oasis. 9/
Basilisk
It's actually quite a nice album, with several highlights.
Guest jsb
I don't really like the style... Lot of cheeze synth. Not enough twisting-psy effects and synth-abuses. I think it's more trancy than Psychedelic. But it's fat enough to make you dance away. 6/10 for the effort. Best track is reload.
Guest fcarnio[at]hotmail[dot]com
I saw deedrah , few days ago in Alto Paraizo - Brazil , wicked , and Dado playing a very goos set , quality , this album shows another way to make full-on. 9/

Guest Jonny M.
It may be slightly cheesy but once you get over the cheese this album fucking rocks, i really like Gangster, Reload, Far and Away and Fireball. The first piece of decent straight up trance music i have heard in a long time, brillient production.
freak51
This is a departure. I don't know if I like it yet. It's got nice new-style percussion, but lots of old-school melodies - realised with new keyboard sounds. Some bits are waaay too cheesy, but being an old goa-head, I dunno, kind of takes me back to a more naive place. I didn't like Gangster at all, the samples are awful. Liquid Skies and Ananda are definitely throwbacks, but not bad for that. The Land of Freedom mix - well I think he should have left well enough alone on that. We don't need another Teleportation effort in this world. I think I'll keep this one and play it only when no-one's around, wave my hands in the air a little, give my head a shake, stab a mime through the heart with a glo-stik and put on Kopfuss Resonator again. Guest Kindgok
Keep your Kopfuss Resonator, Freak 51. This stuff's actually fun to listen to.

Guest SuttoXXX
I really dig on this album... Very good stuff.. I wouldn't call it goa or psy, well Reload is pretty full on, but the rest is more progressive, which in this case actually isn't bad.. I really liked Deedrah's first album and all of Transwave's stuff, so I expected this to be good, and it didn't disappoint!! 8/
Guest sauron_live
crappy crap crap... jesus christ dado, what happened? cypher kicked ass, so did signe furax, synthetic, good bad + ugly, transwave stuff is really good too. But this?!? paul van dick couldn't get any cheesier, go back to question mark and hit the studio man, because you can do a lot better. Guest evolution
Why is there so many old sounding goa trax on this album ??? Dado wake up its the year 2001 not 96 !!!
Guest Simon Magus
You know why everyone's reviews are all over the place? Because this album is all over the place... because Deedrah is about being all over the place. The last album kicked off a big departure in what could be called 'psytrance' and so does this. The downside is that of course not every track will be killer. Still, he stays away from the minimal (good!) and the track Reload kicks so much ass (perhaps the best track released this year...still runs through my head all day...) that it is a shame not to own it!!! Purple Unicorn, Far and Away, and Liquid Skies are also damn good. 8/10, don't expect the same old shit, this guy does it differently. And to those who cry 'house' or 'club' or 'progressive', try listening to those genres, this is nothing of the sort. The beats stay true, and the psy-effect is there. Its not minimal psy-techno, and its not goa(evolution, how much crack do you smoke??), but its good.
Setsuko
My opinion... Dado made a mess of this release... I just don't get it. I like minimal tech-trance and progressive stuff (I'm openminded you see). But this is crap. I give you one advise... listen to it carefully before spending the money on this 'commercial'(in my opinion) release... I bought the vinyl and guess what, the track which seems to be the greatest (reload) isn't even on this album. sorry Mr. Deedrah but this album was a big mistake. 1,5/
Guest DJ Psy604
I've the vinyl version so reload isn't on it. So the best track is land of freedom. The other tracks or not good or have a cheesy sound for me. I haven't made myself!!! PLUR
Guest Goa Spirit
Dado makes some very strong music............ this is one of the better releases of the year so far.... this is the kind of stomping music that makes one move in an outdoor party. and reload is well on its way to the psy classics section ... great track.... the rest of the album is very nice as well... altitude 1600////
Guest shesh_nag[at]hotmail[dot]com
still looking very good.....
Guest rx7style
GREAT CD!!! Very beautiful music, very nicely produced with excellent quality, and very melodic. Everything I'm looking for is here! Grab this album, it's a treat to listen to. Enough said.
Guest rx7style
After listening to this many more times, it just sounds better and better. The melodies in this are beautiful -- NOT CHEESE! Cheesy trance has basic major harmonies, whereas in this album, the harmonies are much more intelligent, and the progression of melody is hard to predict, but simple in it's entirety. That's what melodic is all about, and Dado does it all so well. There is a good mix between melodic and psychedelic in this album -- something to please everyone. GET THIS ALBUM!!! 9.5/
