One of the best I have!!! If you love wicked, high and flippy sounds with a hard bassline... Buy this one!! It is a great example of Goa-Trance... It's wonderful to listen, but maybe even better when you dance on it!!! VERY good songs are:1,2,3,5,7 Pretty good songs are:6 And 8 (The Original version of Atomic Armadillo is better!) and the only song I don't like is #4!! Guest cosmica[at]goatrance[dot]com
HuMMMMmmmm Green nuns, that's one of the best that bring you up to dance even if you don't want... really GREAT!
Guest vm[at]alphatrance[dot]org
The Nuns... what can I say. If you've seen them live, you will not soon forget it. This CD is fuckin' insane. Just the way we like it - fast, furious, and, most of all, incredibly fun. One can only wonder if the lads themselves were having as much joy twisting the hell out of that 303 as we are listening to the finished product. In addition, it really does sound like a complete album, with a great common idea that was well-defined and well-executed. Favourites: "Cor!", "Ring of Fire", "Klunk". Guest PsychedelicGav
What can you say? More pumping psychedelic trance of the old school variety. So many classics here like Cor, Rock Bitch, Atomic Armadillo. Green Nuns here aren?t doing anything so revolutionary but they make music simply so well. Happy music to dance to, no sitting stroking your chin listening to this, no punches pulled. Just dance to this retro psychedelic sound!!!! Guest ChrisdeeACiD
This album kick some bloody ass. "Thunder Thigs" and "Conflict" are the absolute stormers here! Not one bad track on the whole CD. Wonderful production. "Klunk"´s really wicked but perfect and makes me laugh.. ho ho.. Needs to be member in your GOA collection. 9/
Guest d.mcnair[at]dailyrecord.co[dot]u
Excellent stuff that takes you back. Full on humourous pumpin' choons for full on party people! Did you's know that one of them was the keyboard player for the Brand New Heavies...bizarre!
Guest a_ozi
An overly used 303 really irates me. Some good parts but not overly complex or progressive. party misic for the masses...6/
Guest Antic
Green Nuns have always been in top of my psy-trance artists list. And with "Rock Bitch Mafia" they prooved it even better. Although some of the tracks are "old" (cor, conflict, ring of fire and atomic...) the rest of it makes it all worth buying. There are just two track that I dont like and I skip them everytime I listen to this - it's Conflict, because it's so old-school and has veeeery poor samples (even this acid line) and Atomic Armadillo, which - after it slows down - turns to reagga-pop shit with this lame voice saying "fluffy". But the rest of the tracks is simply mindblowing. Cor! is sooo wicked with its electric guitar and killing acid-line, Thunder Thighs is funky and has this "random" melodic factor that is even further developed in Octofunk - the best track here. Ring of fire is almost great - almost, because the first part has some annoing sounds like this chorus part and what-I-call-it "spring" sample. But everything goes back to normal when the acid com! es in! And the title track - Rock bitch that is quite as good as Octofunk - both have lots of acid sweeps and bleeps and they both have this funky feel that will rock your body on the trancefloor! It's really worth to buy this CD for these two tracks alone! Oh! I almost forgot about Kulnk - how could I?! This track is a little bit special, because it contains samples from HannaBarbera's cartoon - Flinstones! It's maybe a little strange track at the first time, but after few listens you'll find out just how good it is. I'll give it 8.5/10 (would be 9.5/10 if there wasn't Conflict and Atomic...) freak51
Hard, not like the fullest-on peaks of today's psy-trance, but hard like a strong gritty wind that gradually strips away the moisture in your lips and encrusts your eyelids with sand. I say this as though it were a bad thing, but somehow it's not unpleasant. Atomic Armadillo [The Fluffening], what a great title, pity about the track. If re-recording this, take out this horrible effort and put on 2 Vindaloos And an Onion Bagees from Distance to Goa 4 instead, it's a perfect match from Rock Bitch. Guest Ubik
From the reviews above : "fast and furious" and "retro psychedelic sound" are what suit most this album. It's a pretty good album, but tracks are not enough varied (always the same sound). Ring of Fire and Klunk ! are my favourites. 7/
implant
well...very..very...very,very,very good album...huh...it sounds very powerfull, fast and has great melodies...I think this is the best that 303 can give you...these guys pulled the maximum out of that piece of hardware...)and now the picture...it's like you're standing on the very large, open field looking in the sky and stars above you...and all from the sudden all these meteors and falling stars are flying over you very fast, whole sky is movin' very fast and you're standing still, feelin' warm inside you, can't move and wondering what's happening...and then when it's best "atomic armadillo" ends and you realise it was all just a dream...)) Guest Pit-UFO
Fluuuuufffyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!! Bless the Nuns. Great Album. keep those 303 screaming. 8.5/
Guest AlexG
surely a classic! sounds a bit dated and rather simple compared to today's mind scorchers, but no serious goa collection is complete without it. this is all about pumping beats and screamin' 303. "klunk!" and "rings of fire" are classics, but so is everything else on this cd. this, along with hallucinogen's "twisted" and "the lone deranger", is the sound that shaped the development of trance into what it is today. Guest jsbedard
This album sounds a little bit old compared to "The lone deranger" or "Twisted" from Hallucinogen. Maybe it's because of the 303 abuse. But some tracks are classic like "Conflict" or "Ring of fire" and others are bad like "Thunder things" (T2) or "Octofunk" (T4). The problem is that old tracks from Green Nuns are more complex and powerfull than the news. "Conflict", "Atomic Armadillo" and "Ring of fire" were release before the RBM album and are far better than the rest in my own opinion...But this album is a must for all goa collectors. Conflict still play in my head with others classic trax. 7/
Guest Slidingtrancer
This just makes anyone go in a frenzy. The 303 is clearly overused but I ( as a lover) cannot deduct points there. Basslines are terribly simple, acid lines almost the same complexity. The sound is a bit old. Not the best producing all around. You'd say I'd have a million reasons to rate this lower than I will. But I won't, cuz this was one of the things that got me dancing to goa/psytrance. It's just's so sickening dancable. I know much goa, but nothing gets me off my ass then this! Apart from that, it's an instant classic! 10/
Setsuko
Njammy, this release is so tasty. The Nuns rule!! I like every track on this album. It is realy a classic. Rock Bitch is my favourite one , I like the line-up they use in their songs. when you're listening to the album , you just can feel the 'revolution' is getting through your ears , infecting your brains... Pure quality gets an 8/
Guest doktor604
Love this disc from beginning to end. The kind of insanity that just makes you giggle with delight. Surely I can't be the only person who likes Atomic Armadillo in it's entirety... Oh yeah, no track will ever, EVER reach the level of madness that Thunder Thighs does. Guest jmubaraki[at]hotmail[dot]com
One of the first psy cds I got along with astral projection. didnt get into this very quickly then one month later the sheer brilliant stomping power of this album hit me!(the same thing happended to a friend of mine .. theres something about the green nuns.....) wicked music, great melodies, powerfull 303 use and u got to love some of those samples (hanna babara anyone?) got me right into the psy scene. my preferences may have changed, seems a bit simplistic now, but I always listen to this album to get back to my roots. a classik 8.5/10 - jigga
