CD1 had already been released as "MDMA Tuning" in 1998 and can be a real killer if you're into underground psy-trance with some tribal influences. All tracks seem to be quite repetitive at first listen but if you listen deeper you'll discover many hidden frequencies in some tracks and then it sounds very hypnotising. Electrosmog is a very loud track that immediately starts with its heavy beats&bass together with some tribal drums. After a while a quite simple melody enters that remains till the end. I don't like this one very much because it's a little too noisy and too simple sounding, though it is probably the most uplifting track here. But the next one, Jambo, is a real gem as it has such warm sounding and relaxing melodies that I can't describe any further, it sounds so positive and also mind-expanding, there's also a hidden melody in the track, very silent in the background, that I didn't hear the first time but later I noticed that it is the same melody that appears in track 7. Cosmic Kindergarten I don't like at all, the repetitions in this one are very annoying I think. Contact is my absolute favourite (maybe together with Jambo), a tribal track that has just the right stomping groove and a great 'voodoo' feeling, very weird when you listen to it in a dark room or outside at night,YEEEHAAAW! Next is Devil Inside, starts with a hypnotizing melody that remains 3 minutes till the beat sets in, then the track goes on with more hypnotic patterns, also a strange voodoo atmosphere in this one, very well done track. Then comes Braincheck, also nice and funky with a melody that sounds similar to the one in Jambo. Chain Of Reaction follows, in this one you can hear the melody much louder and clearer that is hidden in track 2. Lysahead contains some strange soundscapes but there's nothing real special about it. Ectoplasm is another track with a very fat bassline, similar to track 1 but a lot better. CD 2 starts with a very long track that is a real masterpiece, one of the best ambient that I ever heard, so trippy and great melodies, also a female voice singing in some Indian language, which contributes to the great atmosphere of the track. Another highlight is track 3, which sounds very weird and wobbling, but the sample "Wer nicht träumen kann, sollte rauchen" ("Who cannot dream should smoke") is repeated much too often I think. Most of the other tracks are very short but it's a wonderful journey listening to the whole CD. I give 8.5/10 for the whole album, but I'd recommend to take a short listen before buying because CD1 sounds very underground, which may be not everyone's cup of tea. Otherwise get it just for CD 1 tracks 2,4,5 and the whole great trip of CD2.
