Guest Stormbringer
The Delta - Send In Send Back / A+B / Def By Delta (Part 2) Artist: The Delta Title: Send In Send Back / A+B / Def By Delta (Part 2) Label: D-Drum Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Send In Send Back 02. A+B 03. Def By Delta (Part 2) Review: Instead of the usual vinyl-release with some tracks missing or a sampler with just a couple of the tracks the Delta (or the label?) chose to release three ep´s with all tracks except the intro and the last downbeat-track "Basic Beat". Some people think this is for profit reasons only but I really like this way to release an album on vinyl. I hate those heavy triple vinyl-releases. I bought all three ep´s and the CD too! The album "Send In...Send Back" is after all the second best album of 2001, (Haltya "Forest Flavour" is the best!) so I wanted all the vinyl-releases and the cd. This ep contains the title track, "Send In...Send Back" (10/10) and that is a massive techno-stomper with a very deep distorted bassline that creates the illusion that your speakers are broken. If they aren´t allready they might be broken after you´ve played this track ;-) That extremely powerful repetive bassline combined with plenty of doomsday-atmospherics forces you to gasp for breath. Every bar must be like torture for anyone who don´t like it when the bassline uses your ribs as an xylophone. "A + B" (4/10) sounds like Stockholm-techno, a looping beat and not very much more. Really boring stuff and the least good track of this ep (and the least good track from the album too!). "Def By Delta (Part2)" (10/10) is rather slow but don´t be fooled, this track is as massive as the "Send In...Send back" track but it uses the atmospherics even better. Sweet sad strings and echoing synthlines combined with the concretebreaking bassline the Delta is famous for. Before this album by the Delta was released I had only given out one (10/10) remark this year. It won´t stop with this review. I´ve got two more ep´s to review and atleast a couple of the tracks from those ep´s requires me to give out a 10 out of 10 remark.
Guest rx7style
Better than Qlap, but this is great as far as minimal is concerned...

Guest Epic Automata
I don't have these singles but I do have the album, and although it may not be very "psychedelic" the prime roots of trance are still here. I find these tracks, especially 'Def by Delta (Part 2)' to be some of the most powerful and emotional music I have ever heard. Die-hard Goa purists will not agree, because some major shifts have occurred here, but I'm a fan of progress and ingenuity (as well as the "old school") and rarely have I felt as overpowered by music as I have listening to the CD that these tracks are from. And I know what some of you are thinking, but neither "techno" nor "Detroit" were ever able to accomplish this power. This, my friends, is new. Take it or leave it. If you don't feel it, get yourself some better listening gear because the first half second of this music probably broke your old stuff. Ha ha haaaaaaa. Guest bpk
less original than the first delta album... but very interesting...techno sounds in trance is a good way to see the future in this music..."d.drum" takes a good way to put psychedelic trance in the history of electronic music...better than "full on" psy-trance!(gms,talamasca,3d vision style): so keep your touch Marcus! 9/
Guest vakboy[at]yahoo.com[dot]mx
The Delta is a name that allways guaranty a great party or a great time wile you listent to the album. I personally like this EP, but consider the Scizoefective album a bomb!!!! Def by The Delta P2 is a great track and also a litle taste of what we can expect for this new year. To improove techno sounds in psychedelic music is nothing new, just look at Paps, Spirallianz/MidiMiliz. They have a f*cking great hard beat and some techno sounds that will blow you out. I think Psy-Techno (if such exist) will be the future of music
Guest masada[at]trance[dot]net
Absolutely astonishing!!! If this is the way psytrance will progress, people will continue loving it, for shure!! Nice minimalistic and close to detroit beats with soulful basslines so funky your body starts shivering... 10/
