Anoebis
Shaolin Wooden Men - Shaolin Wooden Men Artist: Shaolin Wooden Men Title: Shaolin Wooden Men Label: Nova Zembla Date: 1994 Track listing: 01. Nigeb 02. Technique I Follow 03. Ohar 04. Nyah 05. NK/HT 06. Go People 07. SWN Review: Today this CD sounds BAD, but... This CD is maybe the first real psychedelic CD!! So this is where it all started, and that pretty interesting to know, and when you listen to it, you'll recognise some things, but it's all still very chaotic, sometimes boring or too much Nintendo-music!! (( Maybe interesting to know is that the CD is originally from Psy-Harmonics... There are two listenable songs (5 And 7) the rest is NOT good at all!! 2/10 Bom Shankar

Guest Psylent Buddhi
Oh.. I didn't mean I didn't like this! I haven't got this album, I was merely pointing out, that this was not the first real psychedelic music. The tunes I've heard from S.W.M. are pretty good!! Plur - Psylent Buddhi Ps.: Hell does not exist!!!
Guest goanick
This is an excellent album , if this is old then music stopped progressing a l;ong time ago... Try to increase the speed and you'll see that there are tunes in this cd that are really outstanding and would still be great in a party...What can i say more , they are australian so you either like it or not... Setsuko
This is weirdo music... old but listenable (not the normal old's cool psytrance) don't buy this if you're not a weirdo... lets say, I give this 3,5/10 (the cover is also weird)
spacemonkey
This is good stuff! old, slow, but powerfully pumping on like a diesel engine! They have a really weird style and i must say i don't know if i would get it if i didn't know supermindway, but since i do i can hear the way they try some of the stuf they didi there here but can't really grasp it yet. It's like some strange Underworld gone completely stoned and freaked out, the way they use one little highpiched sound and bring you into some kind of hypnose. once again good old stuff! seraph
Shaolin Wooden Men - Shaolin Wooden Men Artist: Shaolin Wooden Men Title: Shaolin Wooden Men Label: Nova Zembla Date: 1994 TrackLlisting: 01. Nigeb 02. Technique I Follow 03. Ohar 04. Nyah 05. NK/HT 06. Go People 07. SWN VERY STRANGE album ! I say that these aussies are masters of primal trance, they are creating somewhat very weird psychedelic soundscapes and this album is their ultimate weirdness. I recommend this album for all weirdo psy freaks cause this is how all that weirdness began. NIGEB is slow and very hypnotic sickness; very tense ambient trance track, very good ! very good beginning of a very strange album. TECHNIQUE I FOLLOW is faster and energetic but it lacks something for me...too minimal and for me the weakest one on the album. OHAR is very tribal psychedelic piece, with goa melodies, very nice structure, I like it, it is fun track. NYAH is another experimental psychedelic song and it is slower and also hypnotic, nice track but nothing more than that. HK/HT is more in early X-Dream style according to my ears cause of that repetitive bass line that just goes and this is the longest track, has some morning feel, pretty nice. Also kind of goa trance but less intense. GO! PEOPLE is so strange and psychedelic, liquid and deranging. One of my favourites here as well...it reminds me on early TIP records production, that kind of goa. S.W.M. is another goa track, my favourite here probably, it has bunch of 303 lines merging with hypno beats and enchanting melodies. It so much reminds me on BOTFB but this was way before them, but it is in the same weird forest goa style. Yummy ! I say this is pretty good album for when it's made. This is the essence of old school, people and that's how it should be appreciated and even though it wouldn't be for everyone, I say give it a try if you are old school lover. 7.5/
Kai-Q
I know only the track Local Spider on Infinity HZ 2 and I don't like it. It sounds so confusing with that breakbeats, strange sounds and fuck knows. If the rest sounds from them like the song Local Spider, than I don't need this shit. qa2pir
Yes, this album is very weird, and it hasn't aged particularly well (imo) but there's really nothing like it (well, if there is, I have yet to hear it). 6/
abasio
I've got this and I dont think it's aged that badly. Sure it sounds old but the music is still good. This is one I like.
