Guest Pit-UFO
Disco Slickers - Slick Of It All Artist: Disco Slickers Title: Slick Of It All Label: Global Trance Network Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. 07'46" Slick Of It All 02. 08'07" I Think 03. 07'13" Better Than Nothing 04. 07'50" Infinite Personality Phase 05. 07'07" It's A Feel 06. 06'41" The Hammer Hurts 07. 08'23" The Mangler 08. 07'53" Hit It Right 09. 07'06" The Punisher 10. 07'38" James Blond Theme Review: A really good collaboration between Tarsis and Intact Instinct. The tracks are very very minimal, dark and sometimes with a lot of groove, always crafted to surprise you with kicking and powerful base lines. All tracks are created for the dance floor and must be heard in a huge sound system to really enjoy them. My favs "It's a feel" with those really cool voices, "The hammer hurts" because this really kicks the brain, and "The punisher". The only trouble is that is really hard to listen 2 it from top to bottom. 8/

freak51
Some nice tracks for layering on here include #3 and #8, almost entirely in the rhythm. I'm pleasantly surprised, since they picked a less than average name.
freak51
Pit-UFO above commented that one needs a big sound system to appreciate this disc, but right about now it sounds luvvvverly over a good set of headphones. I'm really glad I picked this disc up just before my New Year's resolution to spend less money on CD's kicked in. Much of it sounds like an updated, slightly progressive Kopfuss Resonator, but not prog enough to be annoying for the most part. More and more tracks are sounding essential, always a good sign.
