Review:

I want to start this review by saying that, that this compilation is mixed (by

Raja Ram)! That's why some of the tracks might be shorter than the original

tracks! Anyway, the compilation consists of both old and newer tracks in which

Raja Ram has either been involved in, or released on TIP. Many of the tracks

are quite famous and known (or at least should be) to most people and I doubt

they need any further introduction. All tracks are still sensations and worth

countless hours of listening. I mostly just bought this album as a sort of

collector's item (whatever :)), and in my humble opinion it's worth getting

for the cover-artwork alone. Raja Ram and his drawings/paintings are so wicked

and full of life. I really dig that surreal style! Plur - Psylent Buddhi

I think it's a bit of a rip off.

1: Raja Rams mixing is lame, very lame. There's more mixing on lets say the

Psychedelic Vibes compilations. Most of the time he lets one tune fade out

(all most) completely and then brings in another one. LAME!

2: The tracklist only presents the track names, but there's one exception, the

last tune which only says "Shpongle". The Shpongle tune is infact a "mini

exert DMT remix". That means one minute of NOTHING! Just some samples. IMHO,

this is an obvious and terrible marketing trick.

I bought this compilation expecting a good journey mixed by Raja Ram and to

hear a new Shpongle track, I didn't get any of that!

Do only buy this compilation if your psy-trance collection lacks the classic

tracks featured on this compilation, that's my advice.

I got to say I think Erik is right about this(my name is Erik too so ofcourse

he is=). I was also very dissapointed. No mixing, no news. The only good thing

is the cover art. Ok, if you don't have the records where the tracks first

appeared on it might be a good buy but not if you already got them.

I agree with the reviews above. I thought this was going to be a mixed ambient

cd, so I gave it a try. It's more like a compilation since the tracks just

fade out. On top of that, there are no new tracks here. I mean, if you've

never heard these tracks then it might be good...but even so, it doesn't flow

whatsoever. I felt kinda ripped off, but if you can separate out the tracks

then it might be worth it. listen to it before you buy. can't really give a

rating for this one...

Hehe, I don't think it's so bad :) I mainly bought it to get the two MOTY 1

tracks that I couldn't find anywhere else. I was also very disappointed by the

mixing but the tracks themselves are all very good.

I don't think the mixing is _that_ bad - there's only two transitions on the CD

I find disturbing. Anyway, it's a really good buy in my opinion, I like all

the tracks on it, except the last Shpongle one (too short to be a real track).

9/10

Ok, so Raja doesn't really mix he just lays the tracks down on this one, but

they are all awsome tracks by some of the best ambient producers around... the

best ones have to be tracks 5,6,10... i agree that no. 11 is a rip off... but

I must say that in my opinion this CD flows very well, it is like a concept

album, for me it really tells a story... 10/10 beacause the tracks are all

awsome

I am glad I bought this CD and ignored the whining whiners that have criticized

this most excellent display of Ambience!!! I am also sad I cannot get alot of

the CD's now as they are out of print. Don't listen to the negative reviews,

The mixing is done so that there is continuation between tracks, like

Hallucinogen or Infected Mushroom, I found nothing wrong with it!!!
