Guest Stormbringer Posted July 29, 2001 Posted July 29, 2001 Semsis - Storm In A Test Tube Artist: Semsis Title: Storm In A Test Tube Label: Atomic Date: 1998 Track listing: 01. Storm In A Test Tube 02. Panic Review: I´ve been collecting ATOMIC-records for a couple of years now and I have almost every release. I´ll review those not yet reviewed, and I´ll start with ATOMIC 002. Those who have heard the album "Letting Go" by Semsis know that they have a very dark and evil sound. Older stuff may not be that extreme but this release is in the same spirit as the album. It might even be a little more full on than the album but it lacks some of the dark atmosphere instead! "Storm In A Test Tube" (7/10) is pretty fast and noisy, and it will force your poor heart to work really hard when you´re on the dancefloor. "Panic" (6/10) is in a way a similar track with the same stressed rhythm. This is not a release for you zombietrancelovers, thats for sure! Both tracks are quite monotonous and they sound a bit dated compared to newer releases. If you like fast psytrance with an evil touch, then this release is something for you. Quote
