Disco Slickers : James Blond Theme Review: the most beautifull tracks open the cd1, i mean the nice and cool atmosphere from feel and secret. good remix from saafi bros of koxbox in trance-dub style. you will like the next one if you're fond of Atmos and the original of chigago coin's cinema, coz it's a perfect compromise between the two styles. Big deception with Synchro, it's exactly the same version as it appears on Tantrance 9,why DJ Alex have done this shit? I don't have any idea of this. Funny rythmic tracks with crickets sample from Ticon. The rest of the cd1 is very minimalistic and isn't my cup of tea even if i must recognize there's something weird in marihuana. But Tarsis's track is very bad, no energy, boring. Cd2 startys well with someting a litle bit different from sun project and a "ok corral" atmosphere with Spirallianz. Dark atmosphere with Thing but not the best track from the delta in my mind. Awesome tracks from johann bley, energy, melody, dark voices and rythm all is here; and from COP with a magic-fantastic-children atmosphere like in Fairy in the dragonforest but with some sweetest sounds. the last tracks on cd2 have equal quality except MOS (i dislike),even disco slickers is good (if like me as usual you don't consider them). To finish , hust some words on Mental Chant from gabriel le mar, it's in the trance-dub style but with a rythm a little bit faster. I give this compilation 7/10. Guest zyrkon[at]caramail[dot]com
Cd1 starts with very good progressive ; minimal begins with Synchro till Volldampf, this second part is quite boring.rating cd1 : 4,5/10 Cd2 is more psychedelic and energic, level quality is more constant but without brainblasting tracks as the fourth on cd1 although COP and J.Bley have done great job. rating cd2 : 6/10 rating compilation :5,5/
freak51
Oh yeah, I keep trying to remember to review this comp. I caned this for about a month last year, there are some really nice tracks on it. The Chicago's Coin Cinema remix is one of my favourite-ever trance tracks. The rhythms and syncopation are perfectly timed, it's bloody flawless! The Ticon and Tarsis tracks are nice but nothing special, if you don't have them it's not a gap in your collection. Ditto with the Saafi Bros mix of A Major Problem in Australia; I've heard far better stuff from this bunch. However, the SUN Project track is goooorgeous - lush, a hair cheesy but not over-the-top and they've finally fixed their grating, annoying, boring percussion problem. computer ... emulator-ator-ator-ator ... yyyyyeeessss. Also, the M.O.S. track is an absolute bomb, this has the best freakin' breakdown, especially with the stereo play with the sample "timing -- timing -- timing -- ... I do the timing." If only they turned down the volume on the copper pterodactyl screeching noise that shows up once in a while. Do get this track, either on their excellent Meter LP or this one. The Delta should put out a new record soon, I hope it's as solid as the last one because every comp in the last 2 years has had a mix of this track on it, it seems. The rest is ordinary at best, with a lot of that 'elegant' sound that was fresh for about 10 minutes last year. But it is a comp after all. 8/10 from me.
