They changed the quote on the front to: A trip to Progressive and Psychedelic Trance. What does it mean for the CD's ? Well, CD1 is filled with progressive trance and CD2 is filled with darker, more regular (minimal, though not all songs) psytrance. CD1 in short: Great stuff! This is what I wanna hear more... This is indeed progressive and tends to go more towards melodic again. It seems Psytrance is again evolving more... This is great, it opens up room for more styles and interesting stuff. All songs on CD1 are great, except track 3, because that one is from Dienzephalon and I never could grasp what these guys want... Electro Minimal?? Not for me... The No Shelter remix is cool, though the sampled voice tends to grate after a while. But all the rest... Great!! Special mention for the Schuber track, this one is magnificent!! Cd1 would get 8,5/10 from me! CD2: Starts with a great track by The Delta.. I didn't have it (I don't own The Delta's album) so I thought it was cool, but it's a little old now, so why this is on here is a bit weird... Rest of the tracks are great, pounding dark minimal stuff, especially the Midi Miliz track is just soooo good!! The Spirallianz track however, was released some time ago... Again an old track... And still GTN keeps on caning the Organic Noise record... Grrr!! But it's a great track mind you... The Sun Project track is also good, and the Tarsis track also surprised me as being a great pumping minimalistic track. Rounds off with Slinky Wizard... Cool track this... More melodic, so a great ending to all that dark minimal stuff. I'd give CD2: 8/10 Overall I'd give this comp. 8,5/10 (mostly for the great cd1, and the best tracks on cd2) Bom shankar!! Guest zyrkon[at]caramail[dot]com
Cd1 starts with an hypnotic trance-dub one, the problem is there's 4 tracks on this cd in the saafi brother style.I mean 3 tracks from gabriel le le mar (2 with collaboration and a remix)and one from mikael kohlbecker. That's a lot. So supercruiser's track is a too repetitive for being good. next is dark minimal and very boring. Bad things continue with weird sounds from dienzephalon. Very groovy track from Magnat it looks like the rythm and bassline of a well known house anthem French kiss from Lil Louis, but it's good overall.then a more melodic and techno one from Elting Lieb, good job here. The remix from heckman (aka drax ltd) of gabriel le mar is more techno-dub than a kind of trance.next begins nicely in groovy techno and evolves into new wave spirit coz of the presence of a singer and some old cheap sounds, very strange. Progressive trance is coming with Slide but a shy inpiration. Very good progressive from Flight attendants , the best track of the cd1 with the last track from ronda ray+ gab le mar in chill out style (trance-dub).rating cd1:5,5/10 Cd2 have a weak start tracklist: pop is a supercell bis , not my favorite track of the delta.Minimal with fat and satured sounds with Authentik (not for me). Some evolution from midi miliz and spirallianz on their respectives tracks, coz il like them (this is the first time). it's due to the fact there's efforts on the global harmony , it's not just rythmic work like they do usual.i skip MOS. Next is boring at begining coz too slow to really start but becomes good on the second half of the track with some nice energy which emerge. White Noise : energy, some riffs of disturbed guitars and a hint of madness, nothing more to say : good. Nice remix from Mac Coy and Rumoller of Sex drugs and acid trance , they succed in improving the original track which was already very good. Last but not least with the best track of cd2, the most trance-goa feelike of the compilation.rating cd2: 7/10 rating compilation: 6,5/
Guest Le Lotus Bleu
I don't agree at all with the previous reviews. It's whithout any doubts the weakest tantrance volume i have ever heard, and i got all the serie. Tantrance : a trip to progressive and psychedelic trance, that's not true. Cd1 is largely fill with soft commercial techno. I like progressive trance but i still search it on this cd. cd2 is really fil with minimal dark and boring techno-trance, might we still call that trance? I don't think. So i ask the question , where is the trance spirit (progressive, psychedelic or goa), i don't know but not in Tantrance 11. the few goods tracks are on cd1:5-9-1O and on cd2:4-8-10 rating:3,5/
Guest Me
i have been surprised listening to the first CD, itis progressive trance? something like that...it's listenable in particular T-1, T-2, T-9 but not great;-( The second Cd is more goa and minimal, T-2, T-3, T-5, T-6, T-7, T-10 are boring,...The delta, Midi miliz rule!! and SUN Project offer us the best track of this Tantrance! amazing basslines, guitars...rating: 4,5/
