Guest Connor
I agree completely. First track killer, second track filler. Sorry for the quick review but Stormbringer reviewed this release perfectly.
lurk
i like them both very much Storbringer described the first track perfectly, but "Grut" is also has great percussion, is funky and works very well on the dancefloor. 1st track gets a 9 and the second gets an
Guest Stormbringer
Mumbo Jumbo - Techno Boom Boom / Grut (Kitchen Sink Mix) Artist: Mumbo Jumbo Title: Techno Boom Boom / Grut (Kitchen Sink Mix) Label: Phantasm Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. Techno Boom Boom 02. Grut (Kitchen Sink Mix) Review: Mumbo Jumbo, Bilbo Bagginz & Mitch "Kuma" Davies, surprices me with this record. "Techno Boom Boom" (9/10) doesn´t sound like techno as you might think when reading the track name but it sure doesn´t sound like any other stuff from Cosmosis/Mumbo Jumbo I´ve heard earlier either. This is kind of a partyfriendly happy uplifting nicely driven floorfiller but with an edge. I LIKE IT!!! It has a very nice flow and I think it has a lot of hitpotential too. This is the kind of track you´ll get that extra energy from when on the dancefloor and you´ll probably start smiling too. The rhythm is something that Planet B.E.N. could have done (=good!) but this track has so much more than just that nice beat. "Grut" (5/10) is a track with lots of layers of sounds and percussion but it´s just no good. Same, same for to many minutes = boring! Guest Jesseov[at]hotmail[dot]com
Grut and Techno Boom Boom both very cool tracks...if you can, it's worth getting your hands on Gyro pyro and Fishbone but my personal favorite is Mysteronias.... Mysteronias would have to be one of my favorite tracks of all time!!! Mumbo Jumbo have some of the funky drum rhythms around...check em out!!! Guest djcpr[at]hotmail[dot]com
I got this record the other day, and I really like TechnoBoomBoom, but Grut is definately an in the mix kind of track. But believe me this record is worth getting for TechnoBoomBoom alone, it's a great track all the way thru till the end and especially the end. Get this if you like tweaked out techno trance. 8/
Guest rx7style
I think you need to let "Grut" grow on you... I have HUGE appreciation for the rhythm Mumbo Jumbo can keep -- MAD skills [right up there with Deviant Electronics]! Both these tracks pound, and are a must for any high-energy set. 9/
