Blond Sexy Doped Babes Review: Do you think you want to be run over by a steamroller or do you rather want to try your luck in the ring with Mike Tyson? Relax! you can get both those lovely sensations just by spending some green on this record. The b-side, "Blond Sexy Doped Babes" (9/10), really makes me wonder how this greek, Nick Galastsopoulos, came up with the title. This track doesn´t sound like it´s about watching hot babes at the sunny beaches in Greece at all! It sounds more like it´s about being tortured by some cyberbimbo with huge fists in some dark and dirty cellar. This is really nasty stuff not recomended for easy listening! The a-sidetitle, "Technofused" (7/10), gives you all a big hint how this record sounds if you haven´t heard it yet. This is borderland trance between psytrance and techno, but it´s still psytrance!!! Do you like Spirallianz, Midimiliz, Authentic, Synthetic and the hardest trax from The Delta, then TATSU 007 is the medicine you´ll need to get that heart of yours to really start pumping. triplex Posted July 21, 2001 Share Posted July 21, 2001 a lot of people do not like sourceunknown because they claim that his music is distorted, loud, or something like downtemp hardcore! i'm not one of them. the 2 trax of this EP are killers. an attempt of labeling this genre would be "hard progressive techno" because it is hard, it is progressive (it evolves) and its TECHNO. it's not easylistening and yes maybe not for the house, but i just love it. very dark sound full of distorted fucked up industrial loops that go on and on and break everything up. both tracks can be found also in his debut album in TATSU, and technofused in tatsu-dragon tales also. get it! 9/10 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Mescalinium Posted August 23, 2001 Share Posted August 23, 2001 I find this to be one of the best examples of true psy-techno; that is, a techno beat, a techno loop, but with hard psychedelic sounds swirling about. Both tracks are absolutely pounding but simultaneously intelligent. In short, they kick ass! I slightly prefer the A side, but as a whole it is an excellent work.
