Guest Carahana
V/A - The Independence Trance Revival Artist: Various Title: The Independence Trance Revival Label: Phonokol Date: 1998 Track listing: 01. 07'43" E-Rection : Out Here We Are Stoned (X-Dream Dang A Long Rmx) 02. 10'11" Etnica : Nice Toy 03. 08'35" Ofer And Miko : The Deeper The Bluer 04. 06'56" Total Eclipse : Partycles 05. 10'49" California Sunshine : Imperia Remix 06. 07'57" Unnatural Oforia : White Holes 07. 09'30" X-Dream : STOP 08. 09'07" Prana : Kollage Review: This album is a contribution from various artists that were supposed to play at a festival in israel but which got cancelled by the police. It is a very good compilation - no real outstanding tracks here but most are above average, especially the first 6.Track 2 is real nice in my opinion, a real nice collaboration between ofer and dj miko, nice happy melodies which builds up to a very different melody towards the end of the track, much harder ,but then switches to happy again-a very enjoyable track . The second collaboration was nice as well- unnatural oforia (ofer and har-el) , some nice sampling at the start which made the track worthwile. The only track i didn't really like was kollage which is said to be one of tyuoshi's classics, but it doesn't fit in with the rest of the cd, simply because you can dance to the rest-but that is my opinion of course:).On the whole this is a nice compilation because it has some unreleased stuff, worth the buy or recording stuff you might not have, and which you definately need. freak51
1, 3, 5, 6 are decent tracks. Track 7 (STOP) is very, very potent. Track 8 is self-indulgent flatulence. The rest doesn't really work. Don't bother trying to play it through as a record because it won't even come close to working. Still, some tasty meat on it. 7/10.
Guest Snow Dog
Track 5 is the one bad track, the rest are mind-rippers! I love tracks 2, 3, 4, 6, and especially 8! Guys, a track doesn't have to have a constant kick drum to be "dance music". I for one appreciated the rhythmic variations of Prana. I give this collection 7.5/10, well done! XpandoZ
An interesting fact is that apparently the track "Nice Toy" was produced a lot earlier than in 1998. Quite amazing

Trance2MoveU
Out Here We Are Stoned, Nice Toy, White Holes, and S.T.O.P. That is all. Wait...one more thing... Kollage. Someone please remix this and make it listenable. And if you have time, a Trinodia remix of Partycles wouldn't hurt either. Mdk
