Coda Review: A friend of me played a Vinyl from nervasystem some time ago when I was there and it was a véry nice song, so when I found this CD I didn't doubt! But... that was a mistake... This is a CD full with experimental Downtempo songs... This must be nice for listening when you're influence of drugs, cuz it's véry psychedelic. But there was not 1 song that could convince me. It all sounded too experimental and also too techno-ish sometimes... 2,5/10 Bom Shankar

Guest the bastard
i don't know what u guys are bitching about, this is a great "experimental/downtempo/whatever" cross with goa/psytrance.... would rather listen to this over and over than shpongle, any day .. nothing against simon p. , cuz he is god of course
mars
Yes it's experimental. No i wouldnt even try to compare it to a Shpongle album...no no no.
Guest Ravemail10
Nothing even CLOSE to Shpongle. Shpongle is god of downtempo, this is *shrug*. Anyone heard "Liquid Lifeform" by Nervasystem? It's on some old compilation that I had on tape, don't even remember the name. I think it was one of the Phantasm compils. But that track owned, why not more like that??? Anyway, this CD ain't bad, I guess, though I did not listen to it more than once. 5/10 - Exact average, cause the only impression it left on me was a *shrug*, not bad but *shrug* :-) Bom! - Raven

Guest russ
you gimps, this is one of the most pyschedelic albums ever made. utterly mind-bendingly incredible. when everything else hits the bargain bin, this one will find its place on collectors' shelves. Guest brett[at]noporkproducts[dot]aske
One of my favorite discs in any genre. The straight-up dance stuff is deep and twisted - track 2 in particular has become a mainstay of my sets, as I love its non-resolving 'melody' and the endless weird turns. The downtempo material a perfect complement to the trance, and covers a lot of stylistic ground. And it is without a doubt one of the most psychedelic things in my collection. If you're looking for a collection of dance music, this isn't it. It is instead a great album that touches on trance in places, but the nutjobs behind it have other, weirder axes to grind. Guest timothy yarret
for me the contest for the best psy trance albums ever are between this (mama matrix...) and the great unknown by koxbox even though some of you purists out might consider neither to be pure trance...i would have to disagree about the danceability of this cd which everyone else seems to think it lacks, this is bullshit. if you like to stamp your hooves and nod yr head this is not the right way to interpret it, instead wiggle and shake your ass as if yr in some sleazy 70s disco and you will get, pure sexual chocolate for the mindfunking masses
Guest russ
hey timothy, agree 100%! but i would add the process, one drop or two album to that list of contenders for best psytrance album ever.
Guest MG
I think the Saikopods Headlines EP, which can almost be an album really, ranks highly as well, as does the Lone Deranger. I believe Spectral to be underrated, and I am very interested in Loopus in Fabula's new album on the consensus of the reviews. I am keen for this album but I am unable to find it, have to make do with MP3 poo, boo hoo hoo, although I enjoy Process's album (Tr.4 Especially)and eagerly await listening to Superior Technology, I would have to disagree with it being a contender, at least a high contender (That said, Beast's Spawn is just fucking awesome, That on beat off again bassline that goes into that 4 bar on beat partnersh ip with the kick drum and then off beat for the 5 or so minutes of madness, They should do more) to my perception anyway, there is better, The Great Unknown being one of them definately. More of a forum than a review, enough space wasted
Manuser
I thought that was BRILLIANT. I love this kind of concept album, it's never boring, each track is different and it is VERY psychedelic. Ending track is perfect to close this album out. HIGHLY recommended if you are open to something different. 8.5/10.
BraneFreeze
I like tracks 1, 2, 5, and 9 on this album. http://nervasystem.bandcamp.com/album/the-mama-matrix-most-mysterious By the way, there's also a lot of other good Nervasystem material at his Bandcamp site. the goa constrictor
This album is one of my Top 10 Psychedelic Albums of All Time. Probably in the Top 5 or Top 3 (if I really sat down and tried to piece such a list together). Seeing Anoebis' first review of 2.5 is hilarious. lololololol Maybe it's grown on him since then, but LMFAO. This album is a solid 10 of psychedelic wonder. If you can get it, do so.
