Guest OA
I find this to be one of the better comps this year as well. Although I find the Doof track to be one of the best ones here. All tracks are good. The Shpongle track sound more like a Hallucinogen track tho:) 8/
Guest Lifeform
It's morning trance, with a tribal/chillout touch. But can be listened to at any point of the day. Every track is amazingly cool, by far the best comp released this year. It's a concept album with works very well. Track 2 is the only decent track (cyberbabas), all the rest are some of the best work i've heard in the psytrack scene. my rating would have to be a 9.8, not a 10 cause of the cyberbabas track, although not bad just kinda weak compared to the rest. Get it!
Insejn
V/A - The Mystery Of The Thirteen Crystal Skulls   Artist: Various Title: The Mystery Of The Thirteen Crystal Skulls Label: TIP World Date: 2001  Track listing:  01. 08'59" Alien Project : The First Revelation (Part l) 02. 08'57" Cyberbabas : The First Revelation (Part 2) 03. 11'42" Doof : The Second Revelation 04. 11'04" Logic Bomb : The Third Revelation 05. 12'06" GMS And 1300 Mics : The Fourth Revelation 06. 11'47" Absolum : The Fifth Revelation 07. 12'17" Shpongle : The Sixth Revelation  Review:  WOOOOOW! What a awesome release! I would say one of, and maybe the best release so far this year. The tracks fits very well to each other but they are so different anyway. Each one telling a little bit about the mystery of the skulls. Together, the mystery is solved. You know what I mean. There are no bad tracks in this one. According to me the Doof track is the "weakest" of them. But far away from bad I'm telling you! The best track...hard to tell. I really like the Logic Bomb track and ofcourse(?) the Shpongle track. This is the Shpongle i wanna hear There not much to say...It's a super-release. All of you should get this one! Final Verdict: 10/
Guest soumyeah
stupendous long intricate tracks each crafted with care and an ear for what pulls one in. standouts for me are the midtempo-y alien project track, logic bomb and the shpongle-hallucinogen track. absolum and 1300 mics will kill on the dancefloor as well. all praise CHICAGO! Guest sunconscious
I really like it. Its not ambient/chill-out. Only a part of the album is ambient, mostly it is psy fused with a very interesting mood, which runs throughout the album. The Shpongle track is the most ambient, the first half of the song anyways. The Absolum track is a bit minimal, as to be expected. I wish there were more samples in the album, so we had a kind of 'story' flowing through. However not all of the artists took this route. Â This is a really neat album, a great concept. I hope time is kind to it, and i hope to see more like it. 9/
Guest Zeus Class
Mysticism in our world? an amazing dramatic mystery it is. I hope it doensn't turn out to be something less than expected.... whatever that means.. but anyway i haven't heard this comp, I want it though. um the goa scene is the most creative kind of music today In my humble if not ignorent opinion. Guest psy2kaves[at]yahoo[dot]com
this is definately one of tips most special releases! At first listening i thought it's best for enjoying at home but after hearing a few tracks on a massive soundsystem whe went completly nuts!!! It sounded like the logic bomb track would never come to an end...was it the track, a special mix or maybe the chemical solution in our ears...Never the less a great comp. favorite tracks 4, 5,
alpha
Yeah, one of the best comps this year! All tracks are very good, and I think Doof & Shpongle are the best ones here. Absolum is a little bit diffrent than all the others, too minimal maybe, but still OK. Definitely worth buying. 9.5/
Guest --== MiLeS ==--
The resurrection of Nick Barber is imo the highlight of the 13 skulls which fails to reach the depth and quality of the Yeti series. No frills, no thrills 4/4 psyacts such as Alien Project, Logic Bomb and Absolum simply lack the skill to create a deep and spiritual magic carpet ride to exotic locations, the tracks are decent enough though but never excellent. Even Shpongle's -the 6th revelation- sounds like a leftover track from the DMT trip that was the recording session of Tales...Surely not in the -behind closed eyelids-, -dorset perception- or -vapour rumours- range. If you expect Yeti III then go for East of the River Gangs on the LSD label instead and if you want another somewhat softer VA-Assasi-nations be sure to pick this one up. There is a thin line between the Myth and the Mystery of the 13 crystal skulls...7.5/
Guest Flying Kundalini
very good stuff from TipWorld (again!!) highlights are Doof and 1300mics.. if you like your music more dancy then get assassinations instead. 8.5/10 BomS

Guest chroneus
Perfect album! I can't stop smiling. It reminds me all things which I get lost and find many times later. Shpongle track is the best. The most beautiful compilation for a year. 10/

Strumpling
It's really cool! I like how the theme is carried throughout the CD (most tracks anyway) Favorite tracks - 1, 3, 4, 6. Â I was impressed with the Doof (haven't been abig Doof fan) track, there are samples of this lady's voice being draaaagged oooouuuuuuutttt to incredible lengths! LOVE IT! 9.0/10!!! Â Â Buy it! you will not be disappointed! Â -=- Matt/Strumpling -=-
traveller
The first track is extremly sweet.. if i wouldn't know who made it i would say infected mushroom.. one of their very best tracks.. but it's made by alien project.. i like the beginning of the doof track: that thing where the lady is talking and suddenly it switches to the telephone sound.. my "unfavorite" has to be the shpongle track.. the first 4 minutes are so GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.. and then it changes into "hallucinogen crap".. honestly can any1 say when the sound is flute and when it's a girl singing?? Guest rx7style
Great CD. I love the track by Logic Bomb -- wow. Because someone really picked good tracks for this compilation, I give it 10/10.
Children
Pure shit ... hehe joking ;-) Probably the best comp this year ! My favourites are this awesome Logic Bomb Track as well as the Shpongle one which is sooo original ! Love that effect on the flute/female singer and the sudden increase of BPM as transition between the 2 parts of this Track to go from Shpongle to Hallucinogenic style :-) The only Track I don't love is the Absolum one ... but it's not bad anyway ! Then there is this idea to combine all Tracks through a story about this mystery of the thirteen crystal skulls ... THAT'S WHAT I CALL a good way to make an interesting comp : make the artists on it work their Tracks on a same theme :-) Rating : 8.5/
Guest MG
I think we have a Highlighted Red Compilation on our hands here!!! Beautiful Trance, Journeys!!! I was expecting Ambient and was slightly disappointed at first that it wasn't especially since I got the 2nd Yeti recently, but I soon got over that! It is also amazing how there has been no negative reviews thus far & how there are so many so quickly!!! Is that the sign of a Good CD??? I am hanging for January 12th!!! Guest GMS[at]DMT
This comp is simply a journey, that chills you down till you understand and just are with the flow. I prefer listening to the album as one long track but Logic Bombs track though is simply the best, 10/10. Other tracks Shpongle 9/10, Doof 8/10, others are just 'good'. Complete comp 9/10. This comp is perfect for tripping too. Prepare to learn a lot of new things, about the mysteries of the universe...
Guest Goa Spirit
This album is a very interesting piece/.// alien project starts off with an amazing track, this one is a showcase of these guys talent.. very nicely done.. not intense, but very relaxed, in context though, the secondd half of the track is very powerful/ cyberbabas come up with a kind of filler here.. i wouldn't say its bad, but it didn't really impress me.,Doof takes over,,, nick barber, where have you been?.. it is awesome to hear the manali style of doof... the first three minutes are chilled and then the track takes off with the melody (you guys know what this part is for sure)... after that, one is taken on a journey.. very nice track.. then comes logic, this is a more bouncey track, and builds very nicely.. i really enjoyed this one.. cool melodies and a typical logic bomb bassline (some people may find it a bit restrained)... then comes gms and raja.. this one is a very old school goa track.. nice tribal feel and an explosion towards the end.. love the drums they use right at the last break.. very powerful. nicely done/ good use of the flute, although a bit too emotional at times (typical raja ram style)// absolum delivers a nice formula track.. christoff takes a look into his past here.. i iiked this one, even though most of the listeners above did not.. the shpongle track starts slow and ambient and then breaks into a fake kind of 4/4.. i don't know here, it seems like the artists here have lost their inspiration for making dance floor trance (which is sad).. so as a result one does not get a very good track (typical jaded style). i thought this day would never come, but here simon and co. make an unintelligent track.. the ambient part is cool though.. All in all this one is a good sign, back to the roots with a nice message. Even the detractors will change their mind, because after hearing full on for a couple of hours, this kind of music fits in beautifully. Hear this at an outdoor party in the morning and you will see what i mean. i give this a solid 9/10.. one of the better releases of the year, and tips best release this year. good job guys.
