That's a bit harsh, although I did get this in a bargain bin VERY cheap. It is

typical, challenging Tip stuff. Not too much in the way of melodies, but

plenty of twisted, hard, scary shit. Definitely not everyone's cup of tes.

5/10

french boy is being a bit harsh. Not all tracks are duds. the first 2 tracks

are in typical growly style-if you like the song for rent by GMS then you will

like these. Most songs don't hit you right away as being uplifting monsters

but you could sneek them into a set and people would say hmmm great new GMS

tracks!!

Well, this isn't melodic album, so some people don't like it, but for me it's

great. I think one of the best compilations from old TIP. This procuctions are

very high quality. 8,5/10

Yes I dig this a lot too. Still have trouble with "Stop the carnage", though

:), but the rest is really cool. Some killers here : Lighthouse and Mururoa my

love, 10 minutes of madness, it just keeps growing till the end ! Overwind

which is in fact a Acid Rockers rmx is very fast and very trippy too. 8.5/10

As all the Tip-singles collectors, extremely well for the more

experienced! This kind of psychedelic trance is a perfect example to proof

that only a small minority of people really favor this music.(I mean with

heart and soul 24 hours /a day)

Don't believe the hype, just follow your ears, the rest will follow.

Sometimes you have to get away to really immerse yourself in the music. Normally I'd be hitting the trails, but having to explain to my wife that her two angels were a bear's second breakfast while I was twirling is not a conversation I'm interested in entertaining. So what's a reviewer to do? Get a little alone time with an old friend that never asks for anything and gladly takes everything I throw at it.

The toilet.

Sure it ain't the most comfortable seat in the house...

"Do you mind?"

...ahem, as I was saying it's not the most comfortable seat in the house, but the interruptions are delightfully limited. The third chapter in the TIP Singles series finds itself smack dab in transition. Ah she's a Bonnie lass this one. Not supermodel hot, but pretty enough to not catch sh*t from your boys when you get her in the crosshairs. Neither melodic nor minimal it surfs the nebulous are between goa and psy with loads of effects and bubbling sounds designed to create an atmosphere. Back when GMS didn't elicit mandatory eye rolls this compilation strikes with a harder psychedelic edge some might simply write off as aural nonsense. But if you devote some quality time to get deep inside this (might I suggest the toilet) you'll be rewarded for your efforts. I wasn't but I prefer a compilation that doesn't treat melody like it has the AIDS virus. It's definitely not gonna be on anyone's top ten list, but it will appeal to those of less discriminating tastes where melody isn't a requirement. The one thing I'll say is don't go into this with glory day goa expectations or you'll be sh*tting angry.

And that's not healthy.
