From the first track to the last one, the keyword is darkness. This compilation shows an incredible development in Transient's sound. Totally different from Transient 5. This development is for the better no doubt. This time most of the cheese is cut, leaving nothing but psychedelic scapes so dark, it's almost scary! The opening track by Psychaos is good, it immediately sets the mood for the rest of this compilation. I am unable to pick any highlights from this compilation. The only track which isn't dark and twisted is "Julz" by Tristan And Manmademan, it's kind of light, weightless and uplifting. This compilation is highly recommended if you like your trance dark, twisted and hypnotic!!
Guest Antic
I must agree with Buddhi - this is one of the best compilations I have and yes: its dark and scary but I like it this way. The best tracks are Floob, Chaos To Order, Creepy Crawly and Barbequed Mind - those four are really top quality psy-trance and have nothing in common with old goa-sound. No sign of melodies, pumping bass-lines or simple 4/4 kick/hihat/snare drum patterns just pure psychedelical madeness!!! The others are good (Mummy Machine - for me the best Tim Schuldt's track, Megabyte and Ceremoniak). Julz doesn't fit that much in this comp, though it's still a great track - very uplifting and melodious (it's similar to their older one - William). I still don't get Eight Hole, but who cares about one crappy track if others are this good? Highly recommended for open minded psy-experimentators! 9/

seraph
Yes, Twisted compilation but I don't like it that much...Darkness is a bit overused and does sound pretentious at the times...It is half psychedelic, half monotonic...Best on compilation are : CHAOS TO ORDER, CREEPY CRAWLY, BARBEQUED MIND, MEGABYTE...6.5/

Trance2MoveU
Artist: Various Title: Transient Six - Theory of Evolution Label: Transient Date: 1998 01. 07'49" Psychaos : Chaos To Order02. 07'12" Lumen : Flooob03. 09'12" Tim Schuldt : Mummy Machine04. 06'35" Process And Slide : Creepy Crawly05. 07'22" Spies : Ceremoniak06. 07'04" Radiation : Barbequed Mind07. 06'51" Tristan And Manmademan : Julz08. 09'09" EON : Megabyte09. 07'42" Coma : Eight Hole What really happened to Steve Jobs. "At this moment...you should be with us. Feeling like we do." Sinister, futuristic goa trance that has its feet planted in the ground with deep, dark techno roots. This is growing up with androids as part of your everyday life and then one day they decide to turn on you. A discernible shift away from melodic goa can be heard, but fear not...it's not totally abandoned. There are distorted leads and a heavy science fiction presence with tracks that you don't hear very often. Hell I've never heard of most of these tracks. Details solidify the atmosphere and make this true psychedelic goa. Couple this with the Kiss The Future compilation and you've got quite the potent punch.
