Guest rx7style
Cyan has always produced some solid melodic psytrance, but the sounds they use for those melodies sometimes sound a bit too forced, or what some people call "cheesy". However, the production is MUCH better than the last album, and there are some of the tracks have fantastic, well thought-out progressions of harmonies, and it's quite soothing to listen to. Minimal lovers STAY AWAY! 8/10 for another melodic album in the "classic" sense.
psilo
Cyan - Transmission Artist: Cyan Title: Transmission Label: DR Date: 2001 Track listing: 01. 06'00" Space Cadet 02. 08'18" Nibiru 03. 07'33" Galactica 04. 08'12" Another Level 05. 08'50" New Galaxy (Rmx) 06. 07'15" Daylight 07. 23'15" Farewell (Live Mix) Review: A melodic trance album in the cyan style, better produced no doubt,it has some good songs too bad some are ruined by an extremely annoying cheesy part,if they'd left out the cheese i'd say its great, but they didn't so good but could be better 7/
Anoebis
I agree that this album is better then his last albums, but still there are terribly cheesy songs between them ( number 6 & 7) But number 1,2 & 4 are non-cheesy good old melodic Psy-trance!! So this gets 5/10!! (pretty surprising a nitzhonot-producer became better after a while...) Bom Shankar!
Guest iNFiNiTi500
After the spectacular and timeless Israeli RETRO compil more old skool nostalgia from Mr.Cyan here. Although unpretentiously faithful to the genre, 'Transmission' is somewhat musterd after a tasty meal 'cause the same style has been executed more convincing and moreover years ago by Israeli cracks AP and California sunshine and recently RA did a better job of revitalising the 'good, old Goa spirit'. If every song was as varied and nicely crafted as 'Galactica' this may have been another succesful (cheesefree) retro trip to Tel Aviv but as it stands its still a Greek in Isralien clothing. Beh... 6.5/
Guest computergr[at]yahoo[dot]com
Well I think this is the best cd ever produced by Cyan! Iam from Greece and I can tell you that Cyan don't make music ''only for money'' like theodo15 says(#4 review). If you want to hear greektrance then buy this cd and after listen it, then YOU deicide if you like it or not!@! I give 7.5/
Guest goa_force[at]goa[dot]ru
VERY good sounding trance. We have now waterfall of stupid minimal bum-bum-bum (thay call it goa? Shit!) and good melody psy trance always welcome. Good music for dancing and home listening. Minimal go away!

Guest Exergy
I think Cyan have not progressed as I expected throught the years.I don't like the melodies used here neither the songs.Best song is track 6.This album is WORSE from the previous one.I cannot understand the existance of track 7.Why all these old tracks mixed?Just to fill the remaining time?No thanks! 3/
Lost Buddha
its not that i didnt enjoy the other 2 cyan albums but this one is different , unique and in the same cyan style as before (not so cheezy) , the other albums werent bad but this one is one of my favourite from cyan , very solid goatrance and more mature sounding , the only song i dont like is the last one (a megamix like , its chezzy) but all the rest is great! 8/
long ripps
nice sound, some cheese but not (always) too much, so that's ok this one is indeed better than the others. 6.5/

Trance2MoveU
Holy sh*t did you read this thread? "mike dee may be the fattest gay in earth.." My my how times have changed. Disparaging the obese and the gay? Why not throw a few n*ggers out there and go for the bigoted hat trick? Unnecessary. I liked the Nitzhogoa style of Cyan, but Braindance was a little much for me. You can only eat so much candy before you're on the hunt for some meat. I guess they felt that way too because this is an improvement in every way. More power, more goa, and better production. They come out swinging with the awesome Space Cadet and Nibiru which seemed to have undergone a cheese-ectomy. Just storming good stuff. Galactica sparkles and has depth undergoing several changes while Another Level has a nice break with an Astral Projection feel. Pretty trancey though. The vocoded voice on New Galaxy is a little corny, but it continues with the cosmic presence and vibe of this album and sees more of the nitzho style. And then there's the rest. Daylight goes full on nitzho kick with glow stick melodies and the final track I suppose is their farewell. A mix of their various DAT samples and sequences taken from a live set it delivers over 23 minutes of Cyan-type nitzhogoa that can be a lot to take in one sitting. Think of it like the finale of a fireworks show where the tech guys just shoot their load and empty everything they have. It's a Cyan money shot! The first three tracks were superb I thought, with the fourth being very good. Mdk
