shahar@isratrance
Etnoscope - Tribal Interference Artist: Etnoscope Title: Tribal Interference Label: Digital Structures Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 10'19" Tribal Interference 02. 08'47" Pigs Go To Hell Review: A second vinyl from this promising duo, with releases spread on many compilations lately. On the A side you're surprised with Tribal Interference, which lacks the typical Etnoscope tribal percussive mayhem. This is a more relax, laid back tune, very Ticonish in feel, with a nice vocoder singing break which sounds weird at first but grows on you later. Sunrise track- the Swedish way. For me it's chillout. On the B side, it's more typical Etnoscope, right from the start- crazy percussion games, fast and chaotic on top of a soft kick. Fresh, groovy, nutty, and very very psychedelic. Excellent track, not much more to say, except maybe that you really gotta smile to the that break... pigs go to hell! Bottom Line: two different tunes from Etnoscope for forest nights and Scandinavian sunrises, another step in their promising trail for a debut album. Another excellent 12" from Digital Structures.
