Guest FB Posted April 23, 2002 Posted April 23, 2002 Prodigal Sun - Twisted Harmonics Artist: Prodigal Sun Title: Twisted Harmonics Label: Afterburn Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. The Controller 02. Little White Ones 03. Digital Mayhem 04. Into The Dungeon 05. Timeless 06. The Sorcerer 07. Boundaries Of Perception 08. Twisted Harmonics 09. All Over The World Review: As the words on the cover of this CD imply, Prodigal Sun is a whirling psychedelic dervish coming home. The album is tight, it is precise, it is layered, and yes it does fuck with your head. Quote

Guest [Anonymous] Posted April 23, 2002 Posted April 23, 2002 full on banging acidic trance. i love it. Quote
Guest Goagabba Posted April 23, 2002 Posted April 23, 2002 I just bought this album on the fly, and I'm glad I did. Prodigal Sun are James Shepard and John Woods, in the Uk, in Bath. This is the first release for Bath based record label Afterburn, and an excellent release. Full on twisted and dark. Prodigal Sun like using samples, and they are all trippy and hilarious. None of this blue peel, red peel stuff. Track 2, Little White Ones, has one of these hilarious samples in the intro, and then quickly turns into 146bpm scorcher. No tracks on here under 140, so this release is very dancefloor orientated and psychadelic to the max. Something interesting happening all the time. A nice surprise worth checking out. Have fun with it. Quote
Guest Acid Punch Posted April 23, 2002 Posted April 23, 2002 10x Goagabba!!! At last a worthy review....i'll look in to this one no doubt... Quote
Guest [Anonymous] Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 I have single Twisted Harmony/song/ on vinyl and it is very stupid psychedelic. It sounds like acid techno. Quote
Guest moander[at]media[dot]mit[dot]edu Posted May 1, 2002 Posted May 1, 2002 very psychedelic, kind of hux fluxy, but the production qual is not that great, still though, worth a listen Quote
Guest [Anonymous] Posted May 25, 2002 Posted May 25, 2002 good stuff, db levels are all over the place though Quote
Guest Xymaths Posted June 27, 2002 Posted June 27, 2002 Nice flow on this Cd-production aint shit hot though! Its kind of like full-on meets acid technio with less intelligence (well trippy shit) however it has a constant flow, and you could play the whole thing all together at a party and you could get a nice flow effect-I'd reccommend this for sure over a lot of other chaff being released at the moment. Guest Smarthowie Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 Mixed feelings after listening to this cd.. Well, the basslines are good, most of them, but I didn`t like track 8, too "hard-house" for me. But the thing is, some of the tracks here has too commercial sounds for me, not through the whole tracks, but here & there the sounds sound too...cheezy ? hmm... anyway, not bad at all, I like it more & more each time I play it, I think I just have to get used to this style, cause they have their own! Have not got any favourites yet, but tracks 1,2,4,7,9 are pretty good! Recommended if you like a little harder stuff, but I`ve heard a lot more harder! I give this 7/10.. Quote
Sawfly Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Very good album... All Over the World is a freakin' classic :posford: Quote
