Tentwins
One of the best releases of 2002. Intelligent music, with great basslines and incredible musical structures. Logic Bomb rules. The killers: Unlimited, High Density, Neighbour of the beast and Future Uncertain.
Guest JDPatch
fkn great production on this cd so if you downloaded the mp3 your a sucker hahahaha .... and its the production that really shines - from lookin at the cover art with the blue sky and feeling the glassy clear tweaky shiney toppy synth leads its a real step out and away from all that trippy spin out morbid shit that otherwise i normally cream over ! Guest Swede Indeed
A true masterpiece. Hard electronic sound with a great atmosphere. I didn't like Headware that much, to stripped sound overall, (SOTB and Kilobyte bandit is rather nice thogh) but this is pure magic...from start to end. Datalinks is a soft elegant track wich builds slowly and ends in a full spectra of synths and sounds. Very nice. Unlimited is kind of minemalistic, no explosion but a cool sample and totally ok. Neighbour of the beast is the best track on the album, melodic and harmonic and veeeery niiiice! You can here small references to the first beast song towrds the end, brilliant. Marauder is another great track wich reminds me of the third revelation on the crystal skulls cd. An almost perfect track, but to short. Future uncertain is a good track, but not that awsome, (it still kicks ass). High Density is more like a perfect track. It's fat and full on. It has that peak when everything blows and start kicking...yeeeees. Normalized is a more soft layed back track, supa dupa. Compact living is ok, not that polished. Then comes Hund wich sometimes sound like a dancefloorbomb! and sometimes a bit weak depending on what mood I am in. Drop by anytime finishes the cd in a magnificant way. Very good one. So the rating can't be any lower than a full 10/10. One of my alltime favourites.
Guest Raynor
Why is everyone so freaked out about this album?? It's not THAT good...but i'm not saying it's bad 6/10 is enough for me...
Guest MG
Back for my 3rd Revelation (ha,HAAAR), this is by large an album that has a hard time being played until the end. Datalinks, Unlimited (The best one BTW, it has a great way of varying intensity and hence, the setting for the trippy sounds to play with you, by changing the basslines a few times - Great work), tracks 7-9 are the best bits on this album. In my opinion, disregard the rest.
SkeletonMan
"There were ... incidents involving high altitude metallic machines. Flying in formation." Call Skelly childish, but don't you just love when cool, intelligent samples are utilized in trance?! This one is taken from Normalised (0:45) and sets off this groovy, chilly baby in style! One of several highlights on this excellent album! The album opens with Datalink, a top smooth progressive rocker with a theme kicking in at 3:11, that assures you this baby will deliver all the way. And it does. Awesome opener! Pretty soon into track 2, however, you realise that Datalink was not a lucky punch. This is solid craftmanship. Well thought through, varied tracks, with loads of details. LB enters with a progressive attitude, but with many trips into psy and FX territory. They keep it simple, then add FX, then perhaps a theme or a melody. All the time with eyes on the dancefloor. Like Neighbour Of The Beast at 5:48! I'd love to see the dancefloors react to that! Built up over a long period almost full-on style when a twisted psychedelic lead enters. Rock me baby! Travelling at the speed of light? Oh no, we can travel many times faster than that! LB has a taking for Kevin Spacey samples (this one from Future Uncertain). I might have wanted a little more variety here, but that really is my only grudge against this album. Oh, and maybe ONE more blasterhit to hit the 5/5 star bar. Recommended to all fans of intelligent psy/proggy trance.
Perception
the best logic bomb album ever the most morning tinted one very subtile and not to much and extreem high level of psychedelic sounds when it's was released I experienced it as revolutioniar the typical way of little psychedelic sounds coming from everywhere so that you have feeling the goa sounds tell a story just what I'm looking for ! Trance2MoveU
Artist: Logic Bomb Title: Unlimited Label: TIP World Date: May, 2002 1. Datalinks 2. Unlimited 3. Neighbour of the Beast 4. Marauder 5. Future Uncertain 6. High Density 7. Normalised 8. Compact Living 9. Hund 10. Drop By Anytime 'You humans, sometimes it's hard to believe how you made it this far.' Stupid alien. If you set the bar low then everything is an over achievement. But let's start with the cover. What the hell is that? Psychedelic skyscraper? TV aisle at Best Buy? World's largest eyeshadow kit? There are certain covers that stand out and this one does it for me. This project is composed of Swedes Johan Krafft and Jonas Pettersson and this is their 2nd album. 2002 was a year when minimal still ruled the airwaves and you can hear some of it here. Mostly though, this must've been like an exploding star in the deep space. Datalinks- One of the previous reviewers called this a "progressive rocker". confused tiger say what? As was typical at the time this neither progressed nor rocked. Unlimited- "We shall be flying at an altitude unlimited." The bass line is nimble and makes for an involuntary ass wriggling experience. Gentle effects are so clear I feel I could taste them. Still on the minimal side, but the way they construct a track it feels full. Good one. Neighbour of the Beast- This is a remix of X-Dream's Panic In Paradise. And it was about as substantial as a donut hole. And as you know a donut hole is good for practically nothing. But you can't go wrong with that eerie little melody so it's not a total loss. Almost nothing. Marauder- Now we're getting somewhere. This is much better with greater detail. I love the early break with the breakbeat that is a launching pad for a more aggressive track. This was exactly the turning point of the album where minimal tendencies were left in the rearview. Future Uncertain- 'A soap bubble is round because it is the most energy efficient configuration.' This one was dark and groovy and had the above famous Kevin Spacey sample from K-Pax. What the hell is a bubble saving your energy for? You're just gonna pop. Go out with a bang I say. "You want the job?!? Do you want it?!? Hey, hey...where you going! Oh c'mon, everyone likes bubbles!" High Density- Scratchy leads, alien mutterings, and a futuristic vibe make this one a joy to listen to. It's a window into their later style that will come on albums like Sonic Algebra and The Grid. Lots of changes in direction here. Normalised- "There were incidents involving high altitude metallic machines flying in formation." A sample heavy track about possible hostile aliens with a mid tempo swagger? Sure, shovel it in. The sounds are so clear, definite ear candy that floats above the noise. Hardly psychedelic, but bright and cheerful. Compact Living- Excuse me while I get my freak on. Soft kick + funky percussion + warm vibe = dreamy. This was made in 2002? It's so clean and fresh sounding that I believe it would fit into a set today no problem. Hund- "All these thoughts kept coming." Man I wish I was high listening to this. It's like getting trapped in an old school video game. Loaded with more of their crystal clear textured work. Motherf*cker what level was that on?!? Drop By Anytime- "The world has changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the Earth. I smell it in the air." Sorry, that was me. With a great LOTR sample the eerie tone is sett as bass sweeps and leads give this a lush soundscape. Me again. Jesus, light a match or something. For something that was released in 2002, this still sounds very fresh. There are still minimal elements, but they are augmented by quality effects and samples making it sound very rich. These guys are adept at layering sounds in a way that nothing gets lost. On headphones it's spectacular and you can pick up each individual sound. Groovy stuff and quality atmosphere. This is music in HD. Mdk
