Sideffect... Posted November 30, 2012 Share Posted November 30, 2012 VA - Chaos Unlimited Rebirth (2000) The main reason why I was attracted to this compilation is very simple. The first track "Jaia & Tajmahal – Rebirth" is imo one of the best goatrance tracks ever made. A good melancholic melody with a solid pattern. You could recognize some mindspere patience for heaven in that (or otherwise considering the release date). The entire album is a good example where goatrance ended and psychedelic trance started We are in 2000 and it's happening. Sounds become shorter and melodies are not that extactic anymore. The baseline gets more at front and is deeper but it still has that typical goatrance kick and that is what this album makes so unique to me. Very soon typical psytrance kicks will become mainstream and this type of trance fades away pretty fast. The atmosphere is kinda dark (well not fluffy), the Jaia tracks are the most melodic...
