Guest Syre
The debut album from psy techno master Xv Kilist is here. With 8 previously unreleased tracks this album is a true killer. With top notch sound production, pumping baselines and nice psychedelic sounds, this is the absolutely best psy techno you can get for money. Track 1 "Kilopard" starts off with a nice hard bass line, and continues to evolve with more psychedelic sounds and breaks in the usual Xv style. Really kick ass track and one of my favorites on this album. The "schlagedit" of Kante makes it better then the original. The Xv groove is in all the tracks, but it never gets repetitive. "Spaziergang" will rule dance floors like nothing else, it's simply amazing. The whole album ends with a slow tempo song (really cool), which makes a perfect ending to a perfect album. 10/10 without doubt.
freak51
Never gets repetitive? I found this constantly repetitive. The same unimaginative percussion throughout. I expected more. 3/
Guest gizmo
I think some of this tracks are well produced, but they are to similar to each other & that cause that this album very fast becomes boring. 5/
Guest Nois
I agree with Syre. It's a brilliant one. Great sounds and lots of different patterns, even thoug they sound similar when you listen to them without attention. If you think that the album is boring just buy better headphones or play it at some party - it shakes the floor and makes people go mad. 10/10 - it could not be any better
Guest Tequila
XV Kilist - XV Kilist   Artist: XV Kilist Title: XV Kilist Label: Spiral Trax Date: 2001  Track listing:  01. 10'42" Kilopard 02. 09'41" KPO 03. 09'29" Kante (Shlagedit) 04. 08'28" Spaziergang 05. 09'16" Philistine 06. 10'01" Hugo 07. 08'38" Cettometer 08. 07'59" Schleichers breite  Review:  here finally comes the long awaited album from XV Kilist, released by the growing label spiral trax. The style is minimalistic, but gives the usual atmospheric feeling you can get while listening to any spiral trax release. That's why I tell without any hesitation, if you like spiral trax stuff, buy it.for the other ones, here starts the review: Using beautiful drums and percussions, XV Kilist provides us a rich album, full of trippy rhythmics, and with an enjoyable bassline that even your neighboors will notice.even if the tracks do not evolve that much, the whole album is quiete variated, and seems to be a deep journey into scando trance.Nevertheless, it seems that some sounds (even if they're good) are used many times in different tracks, and when you notice it, it totally destroys this atmospheric feeling, and after a few listens, it becomes really annoying. so, it could have been an excellent release, but because of this "self-piracy", it's just "good".6.5/
Guest AlexG
it's nice, but nothing spectacular. typical night-time minimal dancefloor fillers, and all songs are very similar. 7/
Guest squidbyte
repetative and bland.
mars
75 minutes of rhythm...This album is absolutely, totally, horribly boring! Usually i like XVK a lot, but not this time. Minimal trance has limits, XV Kilist went beyond them. Even the wonderful Kante has been disfigured! 3/10 for Spaziergang, not more.
Guest the_step_father [at]hotmail[dot]
Check out the sample from "The Muppet Show" at the beginning of track five ~ Philistine. Remember the two old guys in the balcony seats complaining about the show? "That's terrible. Get 'em off the stage...get 'em outta here". However, this album is a little on the bland side. Guest wouterspace[at]hotmail[dot]com
XV Kilist once again shows that he's the undisputed heavyweight champion of minimalistic elastic grooves. Superb production, rhythmically perfectly balanced, more funky than George Clinton, as deep, organized and efficient as the London Underground. Like tiny wheels in a swiss clockwatch every single sound is perfectly timed and really has a function in the track instead of some random synthfarts. Unfortunately there's not one track on it that can match his earlier productions such as Strom or Metto. But still 9/10. Highlight: Spaziergang!! Guest preus[at]psy-fi[dot]dk
XV Killist whats there to say about this album ? well for one thing i agree to som of things said in the above reviews,i would recommend XV Killist to have put out an maxi instead, spaziergang, and kante slagen are dance floor killers (not a question in that) and Hugo uhh i like it alot =) sounds like "Hugo" is trying to break out from the beat, damn trippy. but in all 5/10 Should have been an ep or maxi. i was a bit dissapointet i have heard many great tracks from Killan. Guest TRISTAN
Awesome album, Can't stop hearing it! Superb production, Takes DIMO's place as my favourite minimalistic artist. I just wished he'd include his track on VA - Interzone too. 9/

Guest Pit-UFO
Yes, similar, minimal, but still a killer. Not an album to listen to from top to bottom. But it has some great tracks in it. ....and yes Kante rulez!!!! 8/
Guest ArchNemesis
a great album from a great artists. keep up the good work
DeathPosture
Just got this album as a warm-up for XVK's live performance in Løkken, Denmark on May 5th 2001, and the first listen left me VERY disapointed, but as it is often the case with minimalistic it really grows on you... Especially when played really loud or in big ass head-phones.... This is a great album, but it DOES get TOO REPETITIVE and works best in smaller doses... Like the tracks KPO, Kante and Spaziergang ... Really nice when you're in a minimalistic mood... 7.8/10 Bom shankar!
Guest Goa Spirit
This was a dissapointment., i loved some of XVK's releases before this album.. this one though is far too simple and repetitive.. the tracks could work if played in isolation... but as a whole album, it was far too similar.... spiral trax should not become predictable .. they should release more deep stuff.. atmos might be more minimal but imo it is very deep.. same works for all the other releases up to this point, hux flux, noma etc.
Guest Acidhive
This one will get a 7.8/10 from me ... I don't know, but this album is rather good, but his previously released singles were better IMO. Listen to Gummi, Gurgel, Vielleicht & Seitenzwack for proof for instance. This album is not bad, Kilopard and KPO get me there for instance and the rest is pretty good too if you're in the right mood for it, but that last track shouldn't have been on this one. XV Kilist's not apt at making ambient or more tranquil stuff. I'm telling ya Kilian, stick to the stuff like Gurgel... It's what you do best!! The 7,8 stands though.. You have to listen to this with headphones or a big soundsystem folks. Turn up the bass, get in the right mood, turn it up somewhat louder and let KPO pound your brain.. Yummy !! Guest Epic Automata
Two words...XV Suckist. Boring, even for someone who LOVES minimalistic stuff, and no matter how loud it's played. Older stuff was far better. Glad I didn't pay for this one. 4/
Guest BrainBubble
Great album!! This realy is a mindsucker of all times , man!! 10/
Guest jsb
nothing "psychedelic" here. just an empty boring vibe with no energy
Guest Kings vs Sixers
Not putting too many sounds on these tracks makes this album simple and clean which I like. Beats are phat. Good home listening record. Love KPO. 8.67/
Guest Aoza
Nah XV... good to see a sound developing... not repeating past successes, but i do agree that this album works best when (the 1st 4) tracks are played in isolation... 2nd half of cd doesn't hold the same freshness. But its so clean and percussively 'phat' that it really cleans out your ears.
Guest Chiao
... Ooops I think I fell asleep...drop dead boring. Not for me I hope it works for someone else.
Guest Sheng_jen[at]shpongle[dot]com
A very good album. Nice twisted sounds on some real good rythm patterns. But it doesnt really got IT, there is no special XvK sound. But its defently a good album. I give it 7,5/
