Guest Lusid Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 Hey all. I was wondering which songs/artists you guys think sound the most intelligent. Thanks for the input. Be safe Quote

Guest space^madness Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 simon p., koxbox, x-dream, sandman. Quote
Guest Ciotera Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 if by intelligent you mean something you can listen to 500 times in a row and never grow tired of it, I have to say the two Shpongle albums are in their own category. Infected come as a distant second, then Total Eclipse. Quote
Guest Luiz Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 BLT and Kox Box/Saiko-Pod. Nobody comes even close. Quote
Guest Elfie Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 PsySex, Infected, Simon Posford, Logic Bomb, last Synthetic album,.... Quote
Guest Laaars Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 Rofl. More "unintelligent jungle" for me please. Thats breakbeats with a distorted 303. Quote
Guest what??? Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 ok, then... which sounds the stupidest? Quote
Otto Matta Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 Stupidest? Hara Gobi, Synchro, Ouija, XV Kilist (album only), Skazi. Quote
Tatsu Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 for me the prize goes to the first shpongle album, both hallucinogen albums and the second infected album for sure. Quote
Strumpling Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 Yeah Classical Mushroom was definitely very intricate/complex, and didn't get boring as long as BPEmpire does. I forgot to mention the Ozric Tentacles and The Fireman's (Paul McCartney and Youth) 2nd album, Rushes. Pretty crappy website, but it has a few samples (doesn't do the album justice, though) -=- Matt/Strumpling -=- The Fireman is just as "intelligent" as Shpongle, IMO, and Shpongle's my favorite, so hopefully that means something. Quote
Guest Zaraknon Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 The most intelligent sounding artists IMO: Simon Posford (mainly in Shpongle) Tristan (the album at least) Moksha Koxbox / Psychopod Shaolin Wooden Men Snake Thing / Reflecta Slide Beat Bizarre and Ozric Tentacles I'm sure there's more.... np: Amygdala - Synaptic Misfire Quote

Guest Mindtwister Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 Ha´ve you all forgotten about Oforia and his album Delerious... I have no idea if Ofer himself is so inteligente but his music sure is... just listen to the build-ups and those metallic sounds that allways fits prefect in all his tracks... Then offcource we got Jaia... But im to tired to start writing about that fellow! Take Care and get Twisted...! //Mint-twister =) Quote
Guest transphere Posted August 13, 2002 Posted August 13, 2002 Intelligent? I guess you mean those artists that you rarely find boring, those who keeps evolving and allways (almost) brings you new interesting tracks, and those who have original ideas? If that's the case, my selection would be: Etnica/Pleiadians (though they disappoint me rather often I still like them very much Chi-A.D. Shakta (the older stuff mainly) M.O.S. Battle of the future buddhas (!!!), Ka-SoL and all their side projects. and of course Simon Posford! Quote
