cangrejo Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Hello, I voted on mp3, because I haven't got a CD player at home, it's at work. Quote
PsyGoatDelic Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 cd, at a friend's house but fell in love only after i've heard Spiritual healing on mp3 Quote
phobium Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 CD. I didn't have mad access to mp3s in 1996. Quote
cangrejo Posted March 13, 2006 Author Posted March 13, 2006 I love you  Edit: I mean both. WHAT? I'm a little confused right now. I was hoping that this would lead to 100% mp3 You guys are too oldschool Quote
Tatsu Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Also voted for CD. It took me quite some time until I heard the first MP3 file. Quote
Guest Astro Cortex Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 CD. I didn't have mad access to mp3s in 1996. 491027 dito Quote

Guest antic Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I voted "CD", because there's no "tape" option  What is the purpose of this poll? Further mp3-users lame excuse seeking?! Quote
Guest Cosmogenesis Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I have the first time listened psytrance with a cd of Trust in Trance 3 in a friend. But he has bought this album on a black market in Greece, and the cd isn't original, but a mp3 copy! So, tell me what I should answer? Quote
Riton Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 mp3... i remember what got me in love with trance... one word... MAHADEVA! Quote

Goazzz... Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 On cd or tape...don't really remember...but i had no idea of mp3s in 94-95 Quote
snowball Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 mp3 for me....but not anymore, since i can find real cds i dont dl anymore. Â but as for you cangrejo,i remember you saying something really lame about artists and drugs,so my vote is absolutely not a support for all the people that never buy a cd and fill up hard drives with mp3's. radi6404 Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I heard my very first psytrance on cd at some friends, i listened and thought what´s that, i was with my cousin there and of course we lent the cd from the friends and played it the whole weeks after lending it from the friends, it was "Trance Asia Express" with old Electric Universe, Sun Project and other tracks on it, if i remember now this wasn´t that great psytrance but i never heard that in that time before and i instandly fall in LOVE WITH THAT GREAT MUSIC, cheers! Manuser Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 None, it was on the radio, so i guess it means CD for you? Quote
el brujo Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 it was an MD of course you may not know but old times many music were shared through md s by travelling freaks what a format it was. Quote
Shroomy Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Mp3. The first time I heard goa/psytrance was through the tracker scene and I instatly loved it, so I trawled the net for more tracks and came across Green Nuns, Hallucinogen and MWNN. The next day I went out and picked up (the only psytrance CD in my local shop) Goa Head 4. Quote

Further mp3-users lame excuse seeking?!  491035 YES! I'm really just interested in how old-school you all are.  Honestly I wonder how much the mp3 has helped the scene grow, I'm trying to prove a point, but it looks like it's the other way around. INTERESTING I MUST SAY! Quote
cangrejo Posted March 13, 2006 Author Posted March 13, 2006 None, it was on the radio, so i guess it means CD for you? 491061 In what way is radio more like CD than mp3? Radio is free, mp3 is free. CD costs money. Quote
phobium Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 In what way is radio more like CD than mp3? Radio is free, mp3 is free. CD costs money. 491078 Radio pays the artist. Quote
lumpi Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 CD. I didn't have mad access to mp3s in 1996. 491027 same here, but even now I prefer CDs over mp3s any time Quote
vitali Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 no one voted for 'LOL I dont remember' option suppose everybody remembers that essential moment in his/her life Quote
Manuser Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 In what way is radio more like CD than mp3? Radio is free, mp3 is free. CD costs money. 491078 My thought was simple : they play CDs on radio (or Vinyl), not Mp3. Quote
unikos Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 probably it was on cassette (that plastic thing with a black tape wraped around inside it) Quote
