Guest readbeforeuwrite
did you read at the webpage?.. it wasn't due to economical reasons that they cancelled. but maybe they faked all documents etc.. I dunno.. I don't understand greek language anyway.
Guest 665
'm greek and I tried to read all the documents (I say I tried because after around 30 pages of Bureaucocrat's crap I couldn't bare it anymore). My humble conclusion: It was definetely a pre election scheme, showing ppl that they actually care about the environmnet (I'm sure they don't do really), The most disgusting of it all is that they filed the lawsuit a few days before the festival and the organisers cannot risk starting it without a court's decision. From the organiser's side, though, it was obvious that they didn't have enough documents to convince (me at least) that they had taken all the necesairy permissions that would had allowed them to organise the festival. None of the documents reported clearly that the local government or any ministry had given them permission to organise a festival there. There were more like documents declaring support to the oranisers but not actual aprooval. The courts will tell in the end. I don't really care about the organisers, major events are insured for such cases and they will get there money from insurance companies (I'm sure they had one). I'm only sad for the ppl that had plans going there (some friends maongst them) and now their plans are ruined.
