That trance is not the real type of trance, commercial trance is not real trance... The first type of Trance that ever came out was "Goa Trance", which was back in the early 90's. This kind of Trance was mostly played in the Trance Capital ( Israel). People who listen to mainstream Club Trance are all sellouts to Trance music, theres only one type of Trance which is "GOA Trance" a.k.a. Psy Trance.. PLUR ( Peace, Love, Unity, Respect ), its known by the Trance culture ! This saying is used by real trance lovers which are goa/psy freaks. So who ever listens to Club/Euro trance out there, just to tell u people are getting brainwashed!! no wonder Goa trance is dying, its because of u brainwashers brainwashing other people about gay club/tunnel trance shit ! why couldnt u people just leave trance as how it was ! I doubt that many people who listen to club trance have even heard of psytrance. How can they be sellouts? The R in PLUR means respect so maybe you should have some for people with different tastes in music. The point is that these spirits are imo very common among ermm... "us", and this annoys me A LOT, as I said. Wouldn´t like to point my fingers on people too much, would only like to make this shit stop. As for the rest of my post, the "go listen...", you´re of course right; here the point is not listening to music but opening one´s mind and leaving the bull-shit fanaticism aside.. But imo it´s also always easy to "criticize" music to which one hasn´t even _tried_ to listen and of which one understands nothing. "This commercial house" and "this clubby trance"... Some have provided the words ´commercial´ and ´clubby´ etc. with a shitload of values. Then these magic words are as if used to group a HUGE variety of music in one mess, which is then automatically labeled as "shit". Yeah, way to go... And of course psytrance is the only genre UNcommercial and true and NON-trendy and whatever... Nobody gives the patience to psytrance that it deserves - people don't seem to notice what's giong on with psy-music until they've listened to it for quite some time, which is a shame, because here in the USA nobody has the patience to sit down and really really devote as much attention to it as they would need to in order to "get the picture" That aside, its just as others have said - different strokes for different folks. I'm not a hute eurotrance or minimal fan, but I don't try and bash those styles just because these artists don't stroke me the right way. Apparently all these artists are doing something right if even just a few people enjoy their creations. Hell, I don't like elvis presley but tons of people sure do. whatever drowns your frown.
