svolk
We are at www.psynews.org, I find htis site pretty interesting and useful in the field of psy-trance. Could anyone suggest similar sites which "deal" with other electronic genres, which may be close or not really to trance?
Tatsu
Hard to say, it depends what kind of psy you like. There is some regular trance (club trance like Tiesto) that is worth checking out if you like melodic uplifting stuff. Some progressive has nice prog house and electro influences. Everything ambiend and downtempo stuff is also nice. Then there is dub that is also cool. If you are into techpsy you should check out techno and techtrance. Well, basicly check out everything to find out what suits you!!
travbrad1001
This site isn't really similar to psynews but it might help you in finding some other types of electronic music you like: http://www.di.fm/edmguide/edmguide.html Keep in mind it's just some guy that wrote it, so it may be biased towards his musical tastes, but the samples are still nice, and the descriptions are fairly accurate

Guest Astro Cortex
Ouch, he said sites not "styles"... Stupid me. 493915[/snapback] Well he said both: similar sites to psynews, but dealing with other electronic styles . I don't know of any larger discussion forums for electronic music other than psytrance, but there are several mailing lists, such as the ambient list and IDM list.
