Guest Mike D
Hi guy's and girlie's :-) I've been asked to do a set at a formal at my old private catholic school for a formal later this year. I am opening the night and I don't want to shokc them to much but want to show them the power of old school trance. This is my set so far, and hopefully a mate of mine will tape it so it can be chucked up on my site early next year. The other dj's playing are friends who do drum n bass, breakbeat, hip hop and commercial housey/trancey crap. I know that all the tracks I am using are big hits etc. but they are the ones that I think will appeal to a young crowd of teenagers and also creat a happy and fun vibe. So let me know what you think, as I am playing withing the next 2 weeks hehe. Most my other mate's who dj think it will sound nice. Tracklisting is: 1. Astral Projection - Mahadeva 2. Doof - Let's Turn On 3. Transwave - Land Of Freedom (rmx) 4. Man With No Name - Jack In The Box 5. Space Tribe - Dimention Shift 6. Electric Universe - Online Information 7. Hallucinogen - Shamanix (original) 8. Hallucingogen - LSD (using the intro as a break in the set) 9. The Infinity Project - Hyperactive (Acid Rockers Rmx) 10. MFG - Shape The Future 11. Sandman - End Of TheWorld (Original)
Tatsu
i think it is a good idea to play some old-school goa to people who are not familiar with psy. i mixed a md full of old-school for a friend of mine who never heard goa/psy before and she likes it very much. will you beatmix the set or just fading (i faded the md btw)? tell me how it worked... Guest brain
No Etnica? put an Etnica track in your mix... pure goa without Etnica is motor with no gas... Trip Tonight is a must or Starship 101 or the Spheric Concert..
Guest Navigator
good list, maybe put an Cosmosis track in it?
Guest Mike D
some of it will be beatmatched, and some just faded. Hmmm, I think I'll stick with this list but will keep the suggestions in mind, maybe will ad lib a bit hehe.

Guest Ciotera
Sounds like a great line-up.. but no Infected?? And if I were you I would shift Hallucinogen and TIP to the end, but that's just me.
Strumpling
I'd start off with The Beast - Trouble
Strumpling
I'd also pump a dark twisted track like Gamma Goblins 2 or Tim Schuldt's "Absurd." Maybe finish off with something really upbeat yet still dancey like maybe some Yahel or somethin ;-)
Guest Adz Om
looks good Mike! as for the comment on Infected, why put them in the mix there not an 'old school' artist...
Guest Mindtwister
Cosmosis - Deus and why not some Dimension 5 and Chakra & Edi Mis (maybe X-Files) Mindtwister
